Stormwater & Wastewater Compliance Develop and maintain SWPPP under applicable MSGP/NPDES permits, lead site inspections, corrective actions, and training. Design and maintain stormwater BMPs (e.g., containment, berms, oil-water separators, vegetated buffers, housekeeping). Coordinate stormwater sampling, laboratory coordination, benchmark evaluation, and Discharge Monitoring Reports (DMRs). Support SPCC planning, secondary containment integrity checks, and response procedures for spills/releases Monitoring, Reporting & Permitting Applications/modifications, and permit by rule compliance (as applicable). Track and submit required reports on time (e.g., deviation reports, semi-annual/annual certifications, TRI/Form R, Tier II). Maintain records, SOPs, and dashboards for inspections, incidents, deviations, and corrective actions. This position, under minimal direction of the Environmental Supervisor, is responsible for monitoring the compliance of industries included in the Industrial Pretreatment Programs administered by the NTMWD. This individual will maintain and review permits, applications, self-monitoring reports and laboratory data. Assists in permitting process including drafting permit renewals and determining and calculating limits for existing industries. Performs reviews of monitoring reports and enters data, events, and permit changes into electronic database. Assists with industrial waste survey process to identify potential new industries within service area. Oversees implementation of new Federal Pretreatment Standards such as Dental Amalgam Rule, etc. Supervises, trains, operates, and troubleshoots automatic sampling and monitoring equipment to perform field sampling and properly completes and handles chain-of-custody records. Collects compliance and routine monitoring samples for laboratory analyses on water and wastewater samples at water distribution sites, surface water sites, industrial users, treatment plants, or collection system. Writes and reviews standard operating procedures and work instructions as needed. Prepares and presents training material for department personnel in technical and safety procedures. Assists in monitoring and surveillance activities of the collection system which may include visual observations, dye testing, sample collection, etc. Participates in the on-call rotation and leads on-site during emergency response procedures related to accidental spills and/or discharges into the sanitary sewer, ground, or receiving streams or lakes and completes response forms. Maintains daily logs and calibrations and performs tasks which require mathematical calculations. Observes safe work practices through the use of proper safety equipment and procedures. Participates in audits from partnering or regulatory agencies by providing knowledge of program requirements and technical experience. Performs other duties as assigned. Position Title: Hill Country Chapter, Texas Master Naturalists (the "Chapter"), Audio Visual Assistant, Work-Study Reports To: Frank Garcia, AV Team Lead for the Chapter SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES Attends monthly Chapter meetings to assist AV Team Lead in use of Zoom and various AV equipment to enable "hybrid" Chapter meetings. The student would help with set up and take down of the AV equipment before and after the Chapter meeting as well as staffing the Zoom chat room during the meeting. The student might be asked to help troubleshoot AV, Zoom, or other IT issues that may arise during the meeting. Chapter meetings are typically held on the fourth Monday of each month starting at 6:00 p.m. and ending at 8:00 p.m. so the student would typically report to work at 5:00 p.m. and be done around 8:30 p.m. We would also ask for up to four hours to train/mentor AV Team Lead with using correct protocols with our AV equipment and practices for hybrid meetings if required The Chapter meeting venues will rotate between Boerne, Kerrville, Fredericksburg, and Bandera.
