We are currently seeking a qualified Environmental Analyst to work in our Albany, Glens Falls, or Poughkeepsie office in our Environmental Division with the Permitting and Compliance department. The Environmental Analyst will be required to assist with technical report writing, field work (wetland and habitat surveys), environmental permit applications, and GIS mapping. Proper data management and organization is required. * Have a working knowledge in state and federal regulations in regard to wetlands, species, stormwater, and permits. * Participating in fieldwork for jurisdictional wetland surveys and Waters of the US, which would include assistance with plant identifications, soil analysis, and identification of hydrological characteristics. * Preparing wetland delineation reports summarizing field findings for soil type, vegetation, and hydrological characteristics. * Participating in fieldwork for protected species surveys and preparing technical reports for protected species. * Prepare technical reports and permit applications to regulatory agencies.

Primary responsibilities include preparing and presenting weather forecasts on weekend morning newscasts; 3 days midweek weather, climate, science, and occasional general assignment reporting, and fill-in weather anchoring as needed. Produces and presents weather reports for all platforms. Ensures that all weather content meets company standards for journalistic integrity and production quality. Writes and delivers weather stories in a clear and concise manner. Assists in writing, copy editing, researching and coordinating weather programming and other content. Responds to breaking and/or severe weather events and other urgent newsrooms situations as required. Works closely with the weather team to develop comprehensive weather coverage. Participates in promotional activities including public appearances. Performs special projects and other duties as assigned. Writes web stories detailing the local forecast on a daily basis. Interacts with viewers and users on social media sites. Requirements & Skills: Bachelor's degree in Meteorology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience. Fluency in English. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written with the ability to ad lib when required. Minimum five years' experience in weather reporting or anchoring. WORK PERFORMED: Works with small businesses to interpret applicable environmental regulations for associated business processes and provides guidance to businesses that are seeking to comply with the Clean Air Act's applicable regulatory requirements and other business-related environmental issues, including but not limited to the Clean Water Act and Resource Conservation and Recovery Act. Assists in resolving complaints and disputes, including enforcement actions between small businesses and regulatory agencies.
