As an Environmental Specialist I/II/III (Air Compliance) you will ensure compliance by reviewing proposed equipment and operational changes against air quality regulations. You will manage environmental permits and oversee stack testing, working closely with testing agencies to confirm emissions remain within legal limits. Your day includes gathering operational data, submitting regulatory reports, and handling permit renewals under tight deadlines. You will stay current with evolving regulations, such as updates to the Clean Air Act, and guide operational adjustments to ensure compliance. This role also involves conducting site inspections, training field staff, and collaborating with engineering and operations teams on broader environmental initiatives.

Environmental Specialist III:
Responsibilities/Expectations:
Develops, maintains and provides guidance on environmental processes/policies; conducts required environmental training

Job Description
We are currently seeking an entry level Regulated Building Materials Technician to support our growing program. Previous experience in the Regulated & Hazardous Building Materials field is preferred but not required. This position requires an intermediate level of technical working knowledge of PADEP regulations, as well as other federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to hazardous and regulated building materials. The ideal candidate will have experience with abatement project monitoring, hazardous material building inspections and lead testing. An interest, understanding, or prior experience with mold and other environmental hazards is a plus. The ideal candidate will enjoy a mix of office and field time. Workstation varies depending on assignment. Will require entry into containment areas. Use of appropriate personal protective equipment required at field sites, (i.e., respirators, disposable suits, boots, gloves, hard hats, and eye protection).
Frequent travel may be required using rental vehicle, company vehicle, or personal vehicle. This travel may include overnight stays at public accommodations and related establishments. Job duties may require exposure to weather and temperature extremes, loud noises, heights (climbing ladders, scaffolding, etc.) and other work-safety hazards (chemicals, fumes, etc.) at a construction site. Must be able to pass annual physical examination to confirm ability to wear a respirator. Must be available to occasionally work a modified work schedule or extended workday hours, as necessary.
Duties
Perform on-site observations of environmental remediation projects under abatement/construction, and monitor the quality of work performed by engineers, consultants, contractors, and sub-contractors.
Perform asbestos-related functions including hazard assessments, surveys, submittal reviews, abatement plan and specification review, asbestos sampling, and survey report review.
Consult with other staff members on environmental questions arising from the review of plans, drawings and construction project problems and issues.
Prepare reports relating to assigned activities.
Assist in the development, compilation, and distribution of technical data.
Requirements
Associates or BS in a Science, Engineering or Construction related field preferred.
2+ years of environmental and/or construction experience preferred.
Current PADEP and USEPA (Project Monitor/Air Technician, Inspector, Assessor, etc.) certifications preferred.
High interest in learning other environmental job duties. LaBella will provide required training.
Strong communication skills.

Duties
Perform on-site observations of environmental remediation projects under abatement/construction, and monitor the quality of work performed by engineers, consultants, contractors, and sub-contractors.
Perform asbestos-related functions including hazard assessments, surveys, submittal reviews, abatement plan and specification review, asbestos sampling, and survey report review.
Consult with other staff members on environmental questions arising from the review of plans, drawings and construction project problems and issues.
Prepare reports relating to assigned activities.
Assist in the development, compilation, and distribution of technical data.
Requirements
Associates or BS in a Science, Engineering or Construction related field preferred.
2+ years of environmental and/or construction experience preferred.
Current PADEP and USEPA (Project Monitor/Air Technician, Inspector, Assessor, etc.) certifications preferred.
High interest in learning other environmental job duties. LaBella will provide required training.
Strong communication skills.
MS Office Suite experience.

Performs a variety of healthcare environmental services (EVS) duties to enhance the healthcare environment by maintaining the location assigned. Follows special healthcare cleaning and trash handling techniques as required, ensuring professional and appropriate service standards while performing the job. Ensures the very best patient/family/ customer experience by optimizing all customer interactions.
Job Duties
+ Cleans and disinfects patient and non-patient facing areas, departments and spaces.
+ Handles various waste streams to include but not limited to; municipal waste and recyclable waste.
+ Wears standard personal protective equipment as required.
+ Follows procedures for the proper use of hospital approved products utilized in the cleaning and disinfection processes.
+ Places the appropriate signage in an area to indicate cleaning is occurring and floor is wet to reduce the risk of falls.
+ Reports identified facility repairs as directed or observed, according to current established policy or procedure.
+ Utilizes mobile technology to ensure compliance with bed management procedures and other environmental services functions that are performed daily.
+ Performs detailed cleaning to include but not limited to; high dusting, walls, ceilings, tracks, vents and lights.
+ Collects soiled linen and transports to hospital staging area for vendor pickup as applicable.
+ All EVS Staff who enter Medication Rooms (Where Applicable) must receive mandatory education on proper Medication Room protocol.
Work is typically performed in a clinical environment. Accountable for satisfying all job specific obligations and complying with all organization policies and procedures.
