Alliance Technical Group provides the full spectrum of services to support our customers' environmental needs, and ultimately, helps protect the environment. We are currently hiring enthusiastic, adventurous, science or mechanically-minded individuals who have the desire to obtain valuable work experience and learn on the job. In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to gain exposure to a variety of industrial processes, and travel to various customer locations typically in your region/state, with all travel expenses paid. The work is conducted safely outdoors, on emissions source platforms, often at elevated heights, so you must love being outside.
Starting pay rate is $20-$22 per hour, with generous quarterly profit-sharing bonuses and plenty of overtime available, the annual salary is estimated to be up to $48K in first year. In addition, you'll receive a great benefits package, paid time off, and the ability to receive referral bonuses.
Duties & Responsibilities:
In this important position, you will conduct Stack Emissions Testing including equipment preparation, deployment, staging/breakdown, sample collection and recovery. During our comprehensive training process, you will learn the following responsibilities, and once experienced, have the opportunity for rapid advancement:
Conduct on-site field testing in a professional manner and transport testing equipment to customer sites
Follow all test methods, procedures, and processes for quality source testing
Apply careful mechanical and electrical skills while troubleshooting testing systems

A DAY IN THE LIFE
IDEAL CANDIDATES will have an intimate understanding of oil and gas field operations (experience working in an O&G facility would be a definite asset) and have experience in performing hydrocarbon fugitive emission and /or leak detection projects. Our US offices are located in Denver, CO, Houston, TX and Pittsburgh, PA; however, this opportunity is a 100% field position and will require extensive travel throughout the USA. This position will focus on our clients in the USA (EPA Subpart VV, VVa, KKK, OOOO, OOOOa, and W compliance) but may also require occasional travel to work on projects in Canada or other international locations. The FE Technician will report to the FE Team Lead. The incumbent will design and execute foundational experiments to clarify the transport, persistence, and ecological meaning of nucleic acid signals in large aquatic systems. Responsibilities also include implementing and overseeing advanced molecular analyses (e.g., qPCR, dPCR, metabarcoding), managing bioinformatics pipelines (e.g., DADA2, QIIME2), and working closely with a network of agencies (e.g., USGS, USFWS, NYSDEC), tribal (e.g., SRMT), and other organizations (e.g., TNC) partners to translate findings into actionable management outcomes. Finally, the role requires leading the publication of findings in peer-reviewed journals, presenting at scientific conferences, and providing scientific guidance and mentorship to lab personnel.

What You'll Do, Key Responsibilities as an Environmental Specialist II

• Maintain a compliance calendar, and issue regular reports on the status of all environmental programs and permits.
• Identify opportunities to (1) optimize energy and water usage and (2) minimize waste, in accordance with Hood sustainability priorities and targets, and manage all aspects of tracking and special projects to that end.
• Update, maintain, and implement the provisions of the plant's Integrated Contingency Plan.
