The Estimator's primary responsibility and accountability is to provide an exceptional and successful customer experience while creating estimates, coordinating repair needs for customers including all communication, informing and updating customers and insurance companies throughout the repair process. The Estimator accurately assesses the damage of vehicles and documents needed repairs and parts replacement on the damage appraisal. The Estimator plays a pivotal role in the success of the customer's experience by ensuring they are working in alignment with all team members in achieving the repair facility's KPIs.

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION:
Prepare accurate estimates for fabricated metal components and assemblies by gathering information, analyzing important metrics, and conducting regular risk assessments. Fluent in manufacturing, with in-depth knowledge of bills and routings for metal products and estimating ERP systems. In addition to being an excellent communicator, candidates should also be detail-oriented with outstanding organizational skills.

Responsibilities
* Understand and utilize the ERP quoting system or other quoting systems effectively.

* Gather and review offers and quotes from subcontractors or vendors.
* Perform risk analysis to ensure accuracy and reliability of estimates.
* Create and submit estimate reports or bids to project managers, clients, and sales teams.
* Build and maintain relationships with key vendors, including subcontractors, suppliers, and engineers.
* Assist in training personnel as needed.
* Possess basic mathematics skills and the ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
* Be proficient in relevant software including the MS Office Suite.
* Exhibit excellent presentation and communication skills.
* Demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities.
* Understand AWS Welding Codes and possess proficiency in estimating sheet metal components and weldments.

* Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for projects and products.
* Analyze technical drawings, specifications, and other documentation to determine material, labor, and time requirements.
* Collect, organize, and evaluate data on materials, production methods, and labor to develop reliable cost information.
* Collaborate with engineering, purchasing, and production teams to verify requirements and assumptions.
* Monitor actual production costs against estimates and update estimating models accordingly.
* Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
