As an Operator at Graham you will: Operates heavy equipment of various sizes and weights used in road, site or highway construction and paving. Properly follows company and OSHA safety procedures. Brings problems to the attention of the Foreman, Superintendent, Safety Manager, or Human Resources. Follows daily procedures and protocols as set forth in job orientations and trainings. Performs routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment and refers defects or needed repairs to the supervisor; cleans equipment. Assists in the installation and maintenance of traffic control devices. Controls traffic at worksites by flagging to guide traffic through work areas, as required or assigned. The project consists of extensive excavation, concrete, interior piping, and equipment work. The project is scheduled to last for 2+ years. As a Concrete Finisher at Graham, you will: Direct pouring, tamps, screeds, floats; and prepares for finishing troweling and edging Install and grout concrete pipe, as required for modifications Place and finish concrete floors, driveways, sidewalks, curbs, bridge decks and other concrete structures Apply architectural, exposed, patterned or stamped, broomed and smooth finishes on concrete surfaces Use dry pack grouting and epoxy materials, and understand how to cure concrete properly Level and smooth the surface, round the edges, and make joints or grooves to help control cracking on the surface Set the forms that hold concrete to the desired pitch and depth and alignment Monitor how the wind, heat, or cold affect the curing of the concrete throughout the entire process Produce rough concrete surface, using broom Cut out damaged areas, drill holes for reinforcing rods, and position reinforcing rods to repair concrete, using power saw and drill Build wooden molds, and clamp molds around area to be repaired, using hand tools Polish surface, using polishing or surfacing machine Compensation and Benefits: Salary- $25.00 - $32.00 per hour based on experience. Ensure project closeouts are appropriately finalized to settle all financial obligations, demobilize all resources, and transition the projects to the clients. Ensure all materials and work comply with the contract and quality specifications. Manage project budgets by controlling expenses, administering owner and subcontractor billings, and identifying work not covered by subcontractor's scope of work/budget. Oversee the development and management of the contract's general conditions, construction phases and buyout strategy during preconstruction. Conduct business in line with client guidelines. Negotiate skillfully in tough situations with internal and external parties by winning concessions without damaging relationships, and by being direct and diplomatic. Assist, conduct, and coach worker(s) in Field Level Risk Assessments (FLRAs), and Behaviour Based Safety (BBS). Ensure contractors and subcontractors meet or exceed HSE MS requirements during execution of work. Communicate the PSQP to the project site team including subcontractors. Execute the PSQP and implementation of all quality activities on site. Monitor the performance of quality by the subcontractors. Qualifications & Experience: Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field is preferred. 20+ years of experience required. Knowledge and business acumen required to troubleshoot multiple projects, interpret contract documents to mitigate risk and plan effectively, and manage complex issues including conflict and change. Strong leadership qualities, and practiced in demonstrating and growing workforce culture according to corporate values and principals. Strong working knowledge of contingency planning best-practices. Ability to make recommendations and take action based on technical proficiency and experience. Proficient using scheduling and project management software.
