This site's Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) products are laser-based imaging tools that have transformed ophthalmic care and made notable impacts on patients in cardiology, dermatology, oncology, gastroenterology, and other medical specialties. We are presently seeking a temporary Maintenance Supervisor who will supervise of the Facilities Maintenance resources to support and facilitate production needs with regards to over production equipment and facilities. Main responsibilities: * Provide leadership and management of the facilities maintenance resources including the people, equipment, material, building, and processes to resolve equipment issues and improve uptime of equipment; * Ensure adherence to all safety protocols including LOTO, Electrical Safety requirements; * Coordinate and ensure facilities preventive maintenance schedules are adhered to and system troubleshooting meets production requirements; * Strong background and expertise in maintaining facility equipment and systems including HVAC systems; BMS, Exhaust systems, Humidification, Liebert, Comfort Cooling Systems, Boiler. House vacuum system, Compressors. Manage contractor per annual contracts; * Manage the spares budget and inventory, coordinating directly with finance to inventory and track status month over month; * Coordinate directly with operations and engineering as needed to improve system operations and up time. Promote strong cooperative relationships between facilities, maintenance techs and Engineering; * Experience in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, regular PMs and provide guidelines for professional growth; * Experience and ability to conduct day to day repairs and renovations such as but not limited to general carpentry, drywall, painting, minor plumbing etc. to keep the facility operational; * Maintain a formal Preventive Maintenance Strategy; * Assign tasks and coordinate department resources to respond to facility or equipment issues; * Brief contractors with regard to compliance with company's Environmental, Health and Safety obligations; * Maintain a variety of reports, records, and production documentation; * Manage maintenance, repair, inspection of fire protection systems including fire alarm system, wet sprinkler system, fixed suppression systems and portable fire extinguishers; * Manage maintenance, repair, inspection of DI-RO water Systems; * Provide support to security systems, alarms, and employee badge system; * Coordinate with various facility support vendors and contractors, pest control, solid waste, janitorial and custodial contractor and inventory, first aid/AED contractor, drinking water systems; * Manage inventory of compressed gas cylinders, operations chemicals, and bulk nitrogen; * Coordinate with building owner for snow removal, landscaping, Common Area Maintenance. Requirements: * Minimum of a technical associate's degree or equivalent experience; * At least 5 years manufacturing/facilities maintenance experience required; * Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; * This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
