Full-time schedules (35-40 hours/week) are typically 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week with overtime available (seldom required). A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A DAYTIME CAREGIVER As a Daytime Caregiver, you provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities and brain injuries to live their best lives as independently as possible. Your support is needed in many areas of daily living including medication administration, bathing, hygiene, shopping, meal preparation, transportation, and housekeeping. Job Responsibilities: Provide caring companionship through conversation, help with hobbies, meal planning and preparation. Assist with diet monitoring, walking, personal hygiene care, and other activities of daily living. Assist with non-medical care needs including normal aging challenges, medication reminders and hospital recovery. Assist with light housekeeping and laundry. Follow client care plan and provide updates as needed. Driving clients to appointments and running errands. Job Qualifications: Ability to treat clients with dignity and respect.
