Ensure that prior to testing patient specimens, employees have appropriate training documented
Assists with staff training and education
Coordinates with SCCH Lab Supervisor and Director of Clinic Quality and Competency to ensure all testing staff complies with completion of annual competency

Ensures manually entered test results are checked for correctness in LIS

Checks equipment temperatures and humidity daily log sheets, making sure they are in range, and that corrective action is taken if a temperature is out of range
Ensures temperature/humidity monitors and timers are calibrated or replaced annually.
Performs monthly reviews of test/controls worksheet at each clinic to ensure:
Quality controls are performed appropriately
No patient tests are resulted until the test system is functioning properly and necessary remedial action taken and documented
Monthly checklist is given to SCCH Lab Director for approval
