Digital Navigation Corps provides digital job readiness skills and create pathways of economic opportunities for adults from low-income and historically under-invested communities. Built on a longstanding tradition of service, and pioneering the newest resources in digital learning, Digital Navigation Corps addresses critical digital literacy needs by bringing Navigators to work alongside community members who are striving to reach professional goals. Digital Navigators support community members through one-to-one mentorship, classroom-based instruction, resource guide creation and referrals. Ageism, poverty and lack of digital skills are barriers to digital adoption for older adults. Our program assists those struggling to connect to loved ones and communities with a 4-pronged approach - critical access to technology devices, affordable internet, digital literacy education and ongoing one-on-one support. Gifts for Seniors is dedicated to getting tablets into the hands of isolated older adults who can't otherwise afford one. During the pandemic older adults suffering from isolation became further challenged to remain connected when they were completely cut off from the outside world. To alleviate the devastating health impacts, Tech for Seniors was launched. Volunteers pre-load donated tablets with video conferencing software, networking opportunities, mind-sharpening apps, and other entertainment options. Program support includes: Robust outreach and engagement to combat isolation, and spur human connection; A curated website with digital literacy education, videos, and coaching resources; Access to socialization opportunities, critical aging services, faith, and telehealth support; and Small group training cohorts and pop-up tech clinics specifically designed for older adults. Member Duties : Digital Navigators conduct program participant intakes, design individualized Digital Development Plans and provide digital literacy instruction. Digital Navigators support program participant certification through one-on-one mentorship and group tutoring using Northstar Digital Literacy. They also update or create digital resource guides and make referrals to program participants based on participant intake self-identified goals. Digital Navigators evaluate program effectiveness through post-participation follow-up surveys that track program participants' increased confidence in digital literacy skills and employment gains. Digital Navigators serve in-person. Essential functions: Coordinate the Tech for Seniors work plan; Coordinate the Tech for Seniors weekly team meetings; Coordinate the eldertech volunteer program; Lead the tablet set up process; Lead the 8-week training cohorts for older adults; Assist in program data collection and reporting; and Assist in program development.

WORK PERFORMED/JOB FUNCTIONS: Respond to all emergency situations, both while on and off duty, such as car accidents, farm accidents, storms, explosions, etc. Render assistance and aid to the injured, protect property and the well-being of the public. Enforce all local, state and federal laws. Assists in civil, criminal and traffic investigations, which involves gathering of evidence, marking, preserving and protection the same for judicial use, interviews witnesses, suspected perpetrators and victims. Assists in the interrogations of suspects; completes investigative reports and all reports, as required. Physically arrests criminal perpetrators. A Deputy Sheriff must be able to give clear, honest testimony in Court. Serves arrest warrants. Transports mental patients, prisoners and blood to area hospitals or other security facilities, delivers death notices to family. May be required to operate motor vehicles and other equipment associated with law enforcement and may be required to repeatedly perform small mechanical motions of keys and other devices used on a continuing basis and requiring a medium ability to accomplish. May be required to arrest and/or transport persons during all hours and weather conditions. May be required to work in other divisions of the Sheriff's Office. Performs other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Must have the ability to analyze various situations and react accordingly within split seconds. Tactfully, efficiently and effectively communicate with the public when obtaining sensitive information regarding investigations. Become proficient in core correctional-based practices that facilitate offender change while promoting public safety. Assist in the development of programs that prevent delinquency and crime, and focus on keeping people from entering the criminal justice system.
WORK PERFORMED/JOB FUNCTIONS: Assist in the administrative functions of the office to ensure delivery of services and programs to staff, Court, clients, and the community. Assist in the development/enforcement of departmental policies and procedures. Assure timely reports are submitted to the Court. Monitor departmental compliance with policies as they pertain to the Department of Corrections, Cass County Probation Department, and Cass County Personnel Policies. Assure appropriate documentation of expenses, incomes, and statistical data. Implement decisions finalized by the Court, Probation Director, and the Department of Corrections. Participate in professional training and committee work requested by the Probation Director. Participate in staff meetings. Supervise juveniles and adults who have been placed under supervision, to include contact in the community environment, as outlined by our supervision policy. Complete Pre-Sentence Investigations, Pre-Dispositional Studies, Social Histories; Youth Level of Service Inventory (YLS), Dynamic Risk Assessment (DRA), and Level of Service Inventory-Case Management Inventory (LS-CMI) Risk Assessment. Complete the requirements of the Victim Rights Law and facilitate the collection of restitution as ordered by the Court.
Act as a referral source for all juvenile delinquency and adult criminal cases before the Court. Maintain data in the current CSTS software system by documenting client contacts and the reasons for each contact. Provide background information to the criminal justice system on present and past clients. Develop a set of behavior rules (case plan) for each case assigned to the department and enforce those rules with appropriate and legal sanctions for violations. Secure placement for all juveniles before the Court as needed, i.e., foster home, group home, and treatment institutions. Provide liaison support to foster homes and group homes within the County. Provide 24-hour support to the County on all matters concerning clientele and be prepared to respond as situations present. Screen all cases considered for placement to be sure the requirements of current law are being met. Represent the department in most delinquency hearings before the Court. Assist clients in acquiring employment, housing, educational services, etc. Be a resource to local schools in providing information on resources, counseling, and the criminal justice system.
Enforce all requirements of the Constitution of the United States and the State of Minnesota. This position has the general powers of a peace officer with people placed on probation. Establish and supervise job sites for community service work. Meet with community members and other criminal justice personnel as necessary to maintain an information network to collect information for the Court. Maintain a comprehensive and contemporary knowledge of correctional philosophies and the use of evidence-based practices. Acquire a minimum of 50 hours of approved training per calendar year for professional development. Establish an office work schedule to be approved by the Director that meets the needs of our clients and professional responsibility in the county. Performs other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Requires extensive knowledge of criminal and juvenile law, along with the modern principles and practices of a probation department (correctional field services delivery). Become proficient in core correctional-based practices that facilitate offender change. Work independently with little supervision and on multiple cases and projects at one time. Possesses interpersonal skills with the ability to work with people, families, community members, and criminal justice partners. MINIMUM TRAINING, EXPERIENCE OR CERTIFICATIONS: A Bachelor's degree in Corrections, Criminal Justice, Criminology, Counseling, Counseling Psychology, Education, Law, Law Enforcement, Psychology Social Work, or a closely related field and one of the following experience qualifications: One year of progressively related experience or completed a full-time internship (minimum duration of one semester or 10 weeks or 400 hours) in a probation department or a minimum of 400 hours of work or volunteer experience as a probation officer or corrections security caseworker or a minimum of two years of experience supervising offenders in prison or a sentence to service crew leader or a minimum of six months of professional-level experience in case management in a correctional or human service setting. General Medical Requirements: As determined by OPM the duties of this position require moderate to arduous physical exertion involving walking and standing, use of firearms, and exposure to inclement weather. Manual dexterity with comparatively free motion of fingers, wrist, elbows, shoulders, hips and knee joints is required. Arms, hands, legs and feet must function sufficiently in order for applicants to perform the duties satisfactorily.
Additional information
* Recruitment Incentive: Applicants may be eligible for a $40,000 recruitment incentive in accordance with regulatory requirements. The first installment of $15,000 will be paid following successful completion of Secret Service Criminal Investigator training. A second installment of $10,000 will be paid following one year of service post training and an acceptable performance rating. The final installment of $15,000 will be paid after a third year of service post training and an acceptable performance rating. Provision of these payments require the execution of a three-year Continued Service Agreement (CSA) with the agency. Newly hired employees who resign from the USSS prior to the expiration of the CSA will be required to repay the recruitment incentive. (NOTE: Eligibility is limited to "Newly appointed" Federal employees as defined by 5 CFR 575.102).
Applicants selected for this position will be required to sign a CSA before being assigned to an initial training class. The CSA will commit the applicant to a specified period of employment with the Secret Service upon the successful completion of training.

The Child Care Site Leader is responsible for planning, organizing, and leading daily activities for school-age children in a before and after-school care setting. This position supervises Child Care Assistant staff, ensures program safety, implements inclusion strategies, and promotes an engaging and supportive environment for all students.
Your Role Will Include:
Planning, organizing, and leading enriching, age-appropriate activities during AM and PM program hours, adapting as needed to ensure full participation by all children.
Supervising daily program operations, maintaining staff-to-child ratios, ensuring child safety and accountability on and off-site, and communicating staffing needs to the Site Coordinator.
Providing leadership and mentorship to Child Care Assistants, Special Needs Child Care Assistants, volunteers, and interns, including training, performance feedback, and participating in goal setting and evaluations.
Implementing and training staff on site-standard accommodations, health and safety plans, and behavior support strategies aligned with Adventures Plus and Anoka-Hennepin School District policies.
Supporting staff in responding to student behavior, assisting with escalated situations, and adjusting strategies to promote a positive, inclusive environment.
Delivering exceptional customer service by welcoming children and families daily and fostering a culture of respect for diverse backgrounds and abilities.
Maintaining accurate site records, assisting with paperwork, and ensuring smooth site organization and administrative processes.
Collaborating with Site Leaders, Site Coordinators, and school staff to ensure seamless operations during school days, non-school days, and summer programming. Participating in staff meetings, required training, and ongoing professional development to support continuous improvement. Performing additional duties as assigned to support the success of the program and child development goals.
Qualifications:
Experience working with students in large group settings, planning and leading activities, and experience providing work direction and support to staff.
High school diploma or equivalent PLUS one of the following:
AA degree (60 college credits) in a child-related area, OR
Child Development Associate (CDA)
AND
1 year (2080 hours) of consistent experience working with children OR
24 credits and 2 years (4160 hours) of experience working with children.

Duties
During the course of their careers, Secret Service Police carry out assignments in protection. Duties include:
Providing protection for The White House Complex, The Vice President's Residence, The Main Treasury Building and Annex, and foreign diplomatic missions and embassies in the Washington, D.C. area.
Traveling in support of the Presidential, Vice Presidential, and foreign heads of state/government missions.
Enforcing mandated protective responsibilities as described under Title 18, United States Code, Section 3056A.
Requirements
U.S. citizenship is required.
Possess a current valid U.S. driver's license.
Must be at least 21 years old at the time of application and under 40 at referral. Exceptions may apply for those with current or prior service in federal law enforcement positions covered by special retirement provisions. The Secret Service has determined that age is essential to the performance of this position.
Carry and use a firearm. Maintaining firearm proficiency is also mandatory.
Possess uncorrected visual acuity of no worse than 20/100 binocular. Possess corrected visual acuity of 20/20 or better in each eye.
Hearing loss, as measured by an audiometer, must not exceed 25 decibels (A.S.A. or equivalent I.S.O.) in either ear in the 500, 1000, and 2000 Hz ranges. Applicants must be able to hear the whispered voice at 15 feet with each ear without the use of a hearing aid.
Submit to a drug test prior to your appointment and random drug testing while you occupy the position.
Complete 12 weeks of intensive training at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) in Glynco, GA or Artesia, NM and 17 weeks of specialized training at the James J. Rowley Training Center in Laurel, MD.
Certify that you have registered with the Selective Service System or are exempt from having to do so, if you are a male applicant born after December 31, 1959.
