Summary
Sells financial products and services to clients for investment purposes. Develops and implements financial plans for individuals, businesses and organizations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Develops and builds long-term financial advisory relationships with clients
Develops prospects from current Bank customers, referral leads, and other sources
Makes presentations on financial services to groups to attract new clients; attends sales and trade meetings to develop new business prospects
Interviews clients to determine assets, liabilities, cash flow, insurance coverage, tax status and financial objectives and goals
Analyzes clients' financial status and develops financial plan; discusses financial options; prepares and submits documents to implement plan selected; reviews and analyzes financial performance results
Reads status reports; performs calculations to monitor clients' accounts; verifies transactions
Maintains contact with clients; revises existing plan based on modified needs of client or changes in investment market
Refers client to other areas of the Bank to obtain services outlined in financial plan
Buys and sells stocks and bonds for clients
Opens and services new accounts
Ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations; provides timely and appropriate account disclosures; obtains a written signed acknowledgment by clients
Process operational and administrative duties as needed
Trains Bank staff on product knowledge, referral tips, etc.
Compliance training is assigned to all Bank personnel based on their position with the Bank. Employees are required to complete all assigned training timely and in accordance with Bank policy.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related duties, as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university, preferably in a business-related field
Minimum of five (5) years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
FINRA Series 7 license, 63 & 65 or 66, and Life and Health licenses are required
Must maintain a valid driver's license
Certified Financial Planner (CFP) Certification preferred but not required.
