Job DescriptionJob Summary: We are seeking a skilled Setup Brake Press Operator to join our small metal fabrication team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating a brake press machine using air bending techniques, ensuring accurate and precise metal part fabrication. This role also includes quality inspection and assisting in general labor throughout the shop. Key Responsibilities: Operate and set up brake press machines for air bending metal components according to job specifications and blueprints. Interpret blueprints and determine tooling and bending order to complete part. Check dimensions and tolerances using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures to ensure accuracy. Perform regular quality checks and adjustments to maintain production standards. Assist with general shop labor, including material handling, part preparation, and machine maintenance as needed. Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area. Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and quality expectations. Qualifications: Previous experience operating a brake press or similar metal fabrication equipment preferred. Familiarity with air bending techniques and basic metal fabrication processes. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Basic computer skills for scanning purposes.
