Job Duties Follow order specifications/special instructions and ensure all production materials are at cutter prior to set-up Determine the best utilization of master sheet, cutting to customers' specifications Set up and operate cutting machine with high proficiency Operate assigned cutter by performing required adjustments, maintenance, and maintaining consistent quality. Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work environment by following all company safety policies and procedures and reporting unsafe conditions and incidents, while maintaining quality standards Verify dimensions of cut parts match work order Identify poor quality material and notify supervisor and/or Quality Control Measure to ensure specified dimensions of sheets Observe operation of machine to detect malfunctions such as jamming wrinkling or tearing of material Stop machine to make required adjustments, when necessary Replace worn cutting blades Record and report all finished production. Complete and process all related documentation via PC or tablet Record maintenance and service calls in maintenance logbook as required Train, assist, and support other team members in problem solving and meeting department goals. Continuously review current processes and search for improvement methods to improve product/process quality, reduce waste, rework and unnecessary work that adds no value to the work or process Perform general housekeeping tasks and waste removal within department/group and assists other areas as required.
