Inspects fiber production and product quality during pack-out process.
Monitors and cleans forming positions as needed
Maintain binder applicator assembly
Any and all other duties as assigned.

We work on projects ranging from structural construction application, retail store fixtures and environments, and even one-off all custom works of art. We specialize in great craftsmanship and apply that to each and every project. We fabricate awesome retail displays that showcase our client's brands and products. We craft beautiful metal that can be stand alone or that complements striking millwork/casework.
We seek a Metal Fabricator with press brake experience who is looking for a career opportunity. The shift is typically 7:00am - 3:30pm or 5:30pm, but must be flexible for OT or goal-oriented days and from time to time, required weekend work (it's not frequent, typically just on Saturday). Must be willing to go on installs. There is also the expectation that you will run the press brake every week and cross-train on the laser. Our team is full function, there are times when folks from metal work in other departments or times where we are all hands on deck to pack out a job and get it out the door.
At Axiom, a Metal Fabricator is someone who has the ability to read and understand blueprints (engineered drawings do not always exist) to know exactly what is required of each project. This may include off-site work requiring measuring and hand-layout. They have to be able to accept and form metal parts, then they must follow complex and detailed assembly instructions, processes and procedures and work independently.
A background in structural steel is expected, but preferred is experience with light gauge sheet metal and tubing. The ability to produce finely finished product ready for powder-coat or our various other finish options is a must. We are geared toward one-of-a-kind productions with very tight tolerances. Experience with MIG + TIG is a must.
They use a variety of tools and machines to prepare, fabricate, and weld various metal.
Equipment: MIG welder, TIG welder, angle grinders, drill press, shear, cold saw, horizontal band saw, hand tools. Materials: identification of gauges; stainless steel, carbon steel, aluminum, mild steel, tubing, types, shapes and sizes, bar stock types and sizes
Requirements: work well both independently and as part of a team, reliable and conscientious. Understand oral and written instructions of a technical nature and have effective reading, writing, and verbal skills.
Also important are attention to detail, willing to learn the Axiom way and ask questions, mathematical ability, use of measuring devices, fixtures/clamps, and finally, layout, equipment set-up, operation, and good housekeeping.
