Job Description

Essential Job Functions:
Assist in maintaining, monitoring, and enforcing USDA Regulatory, Corporate Guidelines and Quality Control Programs, to include conducting internal audits that may require the participation of management.
Interface with Production Supervisors and hourly employees on production and quality procedures.
Work with USDA personnel to handle regulatory issues Assist in maintaining the micro-hold product program.
This position has the authority to hold product that does not conform to customer agreements, finished product specifications, or legal requirements and is authorized to make decision regarding product disposition including release.
Provide leadership to QC technicians with regards to their concerns with procedures, product quality, regulatory requirements and corporate procedure
Maintain Quality-Reporting Systems.
Responsibility for Quality/Food Safety:
All persons employed or associated with Foster Farms are responsible for the quality and food safety of company products. The food safety and quality policies are summarized and communicated in a company handbook and at training sessions. Each new employee is provided a handbook and attends a food safety training session before beginning work. All employees attend a refresher training session at least once per year. Records are maintained reflecting the distribution of employee handbooks and attendance at the training sessions.

Purpose of Position:
The Workers' Compensation Program Manager is responsible for the effective management and oversight of Foster Farms' workers' compensation program, including coordination with the third-party administrator (TPA) and other key stakeholders. The Program Manager develops and implements claim management strategies that reduce risk, control costs, and support positive recovery outcomes for injured employees. Essential Job Functions:
* Oversee TPA and insurance partners to ensure compliance and effective claims handling.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Provide appropriate medical care:
Aid all Team Members with injuries occurring in the course of employment for occupational and non-occupational injuries. Call 911 for emergency response when needed.
Instruct Team Members on proper care of injury or illness.
Communicate with outside medical professionals, TPA's and management, as needed, regarding claims.
Provide light duty assignments, as needed, from doctor.
Relay doctor's orders to Management and Human Resources.
Be at work-Be at work and on-time and maintain consistent professionalism in the Occupational Health Services Department, to include appropriate dress code. Maintain a clean, professional office in appearance and operation.
Complete proper documentation:
Enter “claim” information into Origami to include all follow-up care, until the claim is closed.
Maintain complete and accurate individual Team Member medical charts regarding all treatment in Origami. Record and scan original Doctors' notes and documentation into Team Member's chart in Origami.
Provide Team Members with appropriate Workers' Compensation documentation, ensure accurate completion, and forward to TPA in accordance with OSHA and Self-Insured requirements. Copy reports to appropriate management personnel.
Update daily / weekly logs and summaries.
Restock office inventory on a daily basis. Track inventory, log and batch test validity of metal detectable blue band aids in accordance with current BRC requirements and disinfect bio-hazardous trash.
Adhere to all OSHA, State and Federal regulations.
Assist Safety management with hearing test paperwork for Annual testing process.
Assist personnel in the application of the Drug and Alcohol Policy.

Tour plant daily for safety issues and to check on light duty Team Members
Qualifications
Current EMT certification and CPR Certification.
