Key Responsibilities: Set up, operate, and monitor stamping press machines in accordance with production requirements. Load materials into the press and unload finished parts safely and efficiently. Inspect parts for accuracy and quality, using calipers, micrometers, and other inspection tools. Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and adjustments on machines to ensure optimal performance. Follow all safety procedures, including the use of proper PPE. Maintain accurate production records and documentation. Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet daily production goals. Identify and report any equipment malfunctions or quality issues immediately. Qualifications: Previous experience operating stamping presses or other metal forming machinery preferred. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and measurement tools. Position Summary: The Slitter Operator is responsible to operate and control slitting and rewinding equipment in the production of material in accordance to the customer's specification. Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities: Works safely to prevent on-the-job injuries by following all safety procedures and policies. Set up and operate slitting and rewinding equipment to slit and rewind material according to specifications and is responsible for quality of material processed. Adjusts knives on machine to regulate width of cut according to work order, following calibrated scale using tape measure. Determine when knives need to be sharpened in order to maintain quality production. Check material while machine is operating or shut down, taking samples and/or removing all quality defects from finished product as required. Locates job specifications on work order, such as part identification number, type and quantity of material required and cutting instructions. Determine and set up knives to obtain desired results in accordance with specifications. Select, cut and obtain cores from available sources and mount on equipment when necessary. Use crane, electric hoist, or mobile equipment to support, load and unload slitter for efficient operation. Calculate amount/number of specific product produced, and records information on skid. Maintains an organized work area - 5S Makes adjustments to knives.
