We're looking for a Construction Administration / Controls team member who will be located in our West Geography office locations. The role will form an integral part of our regional construction administration team and will help to deliver some of the most significant projects in the area. This role will be a hybrid role where it will support both our construction administration and our controls team. There is an overlap between Building Construction and Controls and this will give the successful candidate exposure to cutting edge systems within some of the most exciting projects within our region. **The Opportunity** + Support our Construction Administration and Controls teams through project work - including new / existing construction and pre-design support. Projects will typically reside in the science, healthcare, higher education, transportation and commercial sectors. A general knowledge of all project types will be a strong attribute. + Coordinate and implement of project specific design activities including Process and Instrumentation and Control diagram development. Support our controls team to prepare building control diagrams for operation of HVAC, Lighting and Plumbing systems. + Participate in meeting and work with engineering team to maintain and develop client and stake holder relationships. Maintain a focus on building and maintaining quality relationships, both with our internal team and external counterparts. + Support the CA process from a multi-disciplinary standpoint. Facilitate timely responses to Contractor Request for Information (RFI's), submittals and inspection reports and ensure that responses are coordinated across trade partners.. + Participate in Construction site 'all-hands' or 'big room' meetings. Be accountable to report to the large team and convey information on the team's behalf, when necessary. + Provide measurement and verification services within existing building projects and support our commissioning team as necessary. + Support advance controls for High-performance and LEED Certified green buildings. + Capture lessons learned on projects and support in-house design reviews based on findings. Make recommendations for design improvements. Engage with our BIM process and pro-actively identify opportunities for coordination and constructability in order to support a high quality output. + Present lessons learned to the broader team 'non-field based' engineering team.. + Support the development regional standards for construction administration best practices, such as: digital platforms, test sheets and forms, specifications and site practices, and field reports. + Know the latest in relevant industry developments and technology advancements **Is this role right for you?** + Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or similar is preferred + Experience or understanding of commissioning / retro- commissioning projects + Experience developing and delivering a business strategy and work winning efforts + Engineer in Training (EIT), Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or equivalent qualifications. + LEED AP (desired) + Project sector experience in higher education, science, industry, healthcare, government, or transportation. + Participation in American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning engineers (ASHRAE) or equivalent organizations. + Must be eligible to work in the US without the need for employer sponsored work authorization now or in the future to be considered for this role. COMPENSATION Annual Salary Range $75,000.00 to $95,000.00 Comprehensive Medical, Dental and Vision benefits for employees and dependents Employer 401K match JOB SUMMARY Responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing event logistics from start (advancing show) to finish (load-out; event settlement). Function as facility liaison to promoters and clients. Manage, coordinate, and plan all aspects of events -- primarily concerts, also community & corporate events, family shows, and sporting events. Provide on-site supervision of events and staff. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Include the following. Other duties may be assigned. * Serve as facility liaison to promoters and clients and work with them to understand expectations of successful event. * Establish event needs based on promoter and client expectations. * Lead regular Event Production meetings to discuss upcoming events with internal departments and ensure preparations and plans for execution are aligned across all departments, including proper staffing levels. Communicate staffing and logistical to outside agencies and vendors. * Conducts site tours of facility to prospective and/or booked clients. * Prepare floor plans, seating and event diagrams using AutoCAD. * Ensure proper execution of staffing deployments, equipment rentals, house logistics and other event needs to meet promoter and client expectations. * Prepare event and labor estimates based on event needs and promoter/client requests. * Ensure contractual obligations and policies are maintained. * Oversees SEIU, IATSE 107 and 784 union crew members, and contractors to ensure satisfactory work and compliance with ASM Global standards as directed while ensuring adherence to contractual agreements, CBAs, OSHA and any other applicable safety codes. * Work with finance department on timely and accurate event settlements. * Executes administrative tasks for the planning of a successful event (work orders, floor plans, event report and final invoicing). * Develop Standard Operating Procedures, checklists, and training manuals for areas of oversight. * Assists department and organization with various projects and special assignments, including activations, concerts, sports, private and corporate events. In this leadership role, Arup is seeking a seasoned Healthcare Electrical leader with a strong focus on healthcare. The ideal candidate should be a licensed electrical engineer with extensive experience in multi-disciplinary projects, serving as a project manager or director in California, particularly in San Francisco, Oakland, or Los Angeles. The role involves technical design, consulting, client engagement, business development, and team leadership. The Healthcare Electrical Leader will be responsible for managing electrical design projects for healthcare facilities, overseeing junior engineers, and developing relationships with healthcare clients. The Opportunity * Leading the electrical design for large scale hospital projects in California within HCAI Jurisdiction * Managing large, complex, long-term projects while coordinating with other disciplines and external partners within tight time and budget constraints. * Performing as engineer of record (or alternate). * Fostering a culture of innovation and technical excellence while building a climate of trust and openness within the team * Incorporating sustainable and decarbonization design methods into building designs. * Responsible and accountable for client relations (internal and/or external). * Experienced, dynamic and engaging leader, who has a strong track record of leading teams * Procuring healthcare work in conjunction with the senior management of the group * Building, renewing, and maintaining relationships with healthcare owners for the purposes of obtaining repeat business.
