A Driver- CDL (B) is responsible for safely operating a collection truck, and providing prompt, courteous and complete waste removal services for customers. In addition, a Driver - CDL (B) is responsible for ensuring his or her vehicle is in compliance with the Company's safety standards prior to operating the vehicle, ensures that all Company, state and federal regulations are adhered to at all times while operating the vehicle, and completes vehicle condition reports (“VCRs”) on a daily basis to ensure that any vehicle defects are repaired in a timely manner. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle in accordance with Company policy to ensure tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls are in proper working order. Complete required route/productivity sheets, VCRs and other reports, as required. Ability to read, speak and understand English Experience: Ability to understand and implement written and verbal instruction Ability to interact with customers on a friendly basis and work in a fast-paced environment Availability: Must be able to work a varied schedule and on weekends and holidays Physical: Must be able to work in any area of the restaurant when needed and to operate a computerized Point of Sale system/cash register Position requires bending, standing, walking, and repetitive use of hands and arms the entire workday Must have ability to lift 10lbs frequently and up to 50lbs occasionally Position requires the ability to handle continuous exposure to food and cleaning chemicals Position requires the ability to handle exposure to extreme temperatures
