Duties: Patrols all College buildings, student housing units and grounds; Observes, reports and corrects irregular and unusual conditions; Investigates and maintains incident reports of all occurrences and completes daily activities reports; Responds to requests for assistance regarding lost or stolen property, break-ins, or vandalism; Investigates and reports incidents of a criminal nature to the lead security officer or a member of the GCSO detachment assigned to the College. If the situation warrants, contact the appropriate law enforcement agency Patrols all campus parking areas on a regular schedule and ensures compliance with handicapped parking places; Enforces campus parking regulations via tickets; Provides emergency assistance to individuals in the parking areas and facilitates; Provides evening escort service from the main campus to off-site parking lot; Carries out the established procedure for opening and securing campus buildings, offices and classrooms; Contacts emergency medical personnel when necessary; Provides courteous assistance for faculty, staff, students, and visitors; Maintains vehicle use records for campus vehicles; Directs individuals to various locations on campus; Monitors campus video security system; Required to drive College vehicles and secure appropriate credentials; Maintains confidentiality of information exposed to in the course of business regarding students, supervisors or other employees; Contributes to a safe educational and working environment by participating in all drills and training and being prepared to take action should a health or safety emergency occur; Requires the kind of teamwork, supervision, and personal interaction, that cannot be had in a home office situation; therefore, regular and predictable on-site attendance is a job requirement; Other duties as assigned Required Qualifications: Will be expected to adhere to Galveston College Security Officer Standard Operating Procedures. Duties: Aiding department instructors in setting up needed equipment before laboratory periods and providing supportive help to the instructor (such as mixing solution, preparing and pouring media, and procuring additional equipment) during those periods. Lab equipment, etc should be cleaned up after each lab period unless otherwise notified. Provide the departmental instructors with help in returning all departmental equipment used (including microscope slides, transparencies, microscope, models, etc.) to their appropriate storage areas. To adequately keep all laboratory desks, shelves, floor, and sinks, free of unused equipment and debris at all times. To wash and dry reusable glassware and place in appropriate cabinets or shelves. Autoclave necessary materials. Provide watering and maintenance of plants in the laboratories and greenhouse as instructed by the coordinator Provide adequate maintenance of animals during those periods or animal usage (fish, frogs, protozoans, etc.) as instructed by coordinator. Grading of clear cut multiple choice laboratory worksheets during those times the above have been completed. Under no circumstances are the lab assistance to have friends or visitors in the lab or preparation room while on the job. While, on duty, lab assistants should not be gone from the lab area for more than a few minutes at a time, in case an instructor needs immediate assistance. If the lab assistant has to go to the restroom, etc, or on an errand for the instructor, please leave a note in the preparation room as to where you are, so instructors do not have to look all over the building for you. In case of illness, etc., please notify lab coordinator or instructor by phone, etc. So other arrangements can be made by instructors for the lab preparations. Galveston College is seeking a qualified and dedicated Part-Time Clinical Coordinator to support our Nuclear Medicine Technology Program. This role is critical to maintaining high-quality clinical education experiences for our students by ensuring compliance with accreditation standards and providing mentorship and oversight in the clinical setting. The ideal candidate is a seasoned nuclear medicine technologist who values education and professional development. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with students, clinical preceptors, and program leadership to ensure meaningful and consistent clinical training across all affiliated healthcare facilities. Essential Functions Coordinate and monitor clinical education placements for nuclear medicine technology students. Serve as a liaison between Galveston College and affiliated clinical sites. Conduct periodic site visits (virtual or in-person) to assess student performance and ensure compliance with JRCNMT standards. Assist with the development and implementation of clinical schedules, evaluation tools, and competencies. Support clinical preceptors through communication, training, and updates. Participate in student evaluations and clinical remediation plans as needed. Maintain documentation for clinical site accreditation, student progress, and regulatory compliance. Duties: Aiding department instructors in setting up needed equipment before laboratory periods and providing supportive help to the instructor (such as mixing solution, preparing and pouring media, and procuring additional equipment) during those periods. Lab equipment, etc should be cleaned up after each lab period unless otherwise notified. Provide the departmental instructors with help in returning all departmental equipment used (including microscope slides, transparencies, microscope, models, etc.) to their appropriate storage areas. To adequately keep all laboratory desks, shelves, floor, and sinks, free of unused equipment and debris at all times. To wash and dry reusable glassware and place in appropriate cabinets or shelves. Autoclave necessary materials. Provide watering and maintenance of plants in the laboratories and greenhouse as instructed by the coordinator Provide adequate maintenance of animals during those periods or animal usage (fish, frogs, protozoans, etc.) as instructed by coordinator. Grading of clear cut multiple choice laboratory worksheets during those times the above have been completed. Under no circumstances are the lab assistance to have friends or visitors in the lab or preparation room while on the job. While, on duty, lab assistants should not be gone from the lab area for more than a few minutes at a time, in case an instructor needs immediate assistance. If the lab assistant has to go to the restroom, etc, or on an errand for the instructor, please leave a note in the preparation room as to where you are, so instructors do not have to look all over the building for you. In case of illness, etc., please notify lab coordinator or instructor by phone, etc. So other arrangements can be made by instructors for the lab preparations. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with students, clinical preceptors, and program leadership to ensure meaningful and consistent clinical training across all affiliated healthcare facilities. Essential Functions Coordinate and monitor clinical education placements for nuclear medicine technology students. Serve as a liaison between Galveston College and affiliated clinical sites. Conduct periodic site visits (virtual or in-person) to assess student performance and ensure compliance with JRCNMT standards. Assist with the development and implementation of clinical schedules, evaluation tools, and competencies. Support clinical preceptors through communication, training, and updates. Participate in student evaluations and clinical remediation plans as needed. Maintain documentation for clinical site accreditation, student progress, and regulatory compliance.
