The Technology Support Specialist's primary focus is to support and maintain FLCC end-user technology such as desktops, laptops, tablets, printers, and classroom technology for students, faculty and support staff. The Technology Support Specialist will work as a member of a team of support specialists, responding to IT Helpdesk Tickets relating to end-user technology. The Technology Support Specialist will carry out system replacements based on the life-cycle replacement schedules and/or as needed.

Qualifications:
Educational Background: Associate's degree in an IT related field is required, Bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience: 1 to 2 year's experience supporting a technology rich and diverse environment. Experience and knowledge of one or both of Microsoft and/or Apple applications and operating systems required. Experience in a managed-device environment preferred.
Special Skills: Preferred qualifications include experience managing both Apple and Windows devices, as well as familiarity with classroom technologies such as projection systems and collaboration tools like WebEx, Zoom, Teams, and other similar platforms used in educational settings. A basic understanding of networking concepts, including Wi-Fi, LAN, and VPN, is also preferred. Experience with IT in a Higher Education

Essential Functions:
Demonstrates a customer-focused attitude with strong attention to detail, ensuring timely effective resolution of issues.
Applies excellent analytical and diagnostic skills to resolve issues quickly and escalate when necessary, collaborating with the IT team to ensure issues are fully resolved.
Designs and configures desktop software setups, plans system upgrades, and ensures proper configuration for both employee and student desktop and laptop systems.
Provides end-user support for all technology-related needs.
Uses device management tools (e.g., JAMF, SCCM, InTune) to ensure all devices are properly installed with required software for enterprise and instructional purposes.
Troubleshoots and resolves issues with classroom technology, including document cameras, instructor PCs, SmartBoards, flat-panel TVs, projectors, Hyflex cameras/mics, PowerPoint sharing, and “clickers.”
Supports the FLCC student laptop/tablet loaner program by assisting students, coordinating with the Helpdesk Specialist to track inventory, and ensuring devices are properly distributed and returned as part of College programs.
Ensures all technology is accounted for in the FLCC Inventory and asset tracking system, updating inventory according to the college's lifecycle replacement plan.
Uses scripting tools to automate daily tasks where applicable.
Assists faculty in utilizing instructional technology and classroom learning tools such as VR/AR, Poll Everywhere, Hyflex systems, and collaboration tool recordings.
Follows best practices to safeguard college-owned devices from cyber threats.
Investigates complex issues, collaborates with IT staff from other SUNY institutions, and evaluates potential solutions to design effective and proven strategies.
Supervises student interns, providing guidance and support.
Utilizes the Helpdesk Ticketing system, working with IT Helpdesk staff to ensure all necessary details are captured for each new ticket.
Demonstrates flexibility in work schedule and locations as needed.

Essential Functions:
Provide academic advisement to students about academic requirements and selection of courses.
Assist with the coordination of academic advisement during registration periods.
Maintain accurate records on each advisee in appropriate systems; evaluate students at the conclusion of each semester to determine status and academic recovery plans (if appropriate).
Work with the College's early alert system (Starfish) for assigned caseload.
Monitor student registration activities and suggest alternatives.
Maintain systematic and frequent contact with advisees.
Work collaboratively with faculty advisors to support students.
Perform and interpret degree audits (e.g., working knowledge of transfer credits, etc.).
Know graduation requirements.
Possess a basic knowledge of financial aid processes, guidelines and programs.
Provide interpretation of the College's Academic Standards and advise students affected by them.
Assist students with career and transfer planning.
Make referrals as necessary to career and transfer services, Academic Success and Access Programs (including Disability Services), Community Standards and Counseling, and other existing support services and offices.
Understand the institution's interpretation of FERPA rules for the release of student information to faculty, parents, students, etc.
Disseminate information on institutional policies and procedures.
Work collaboratively within Student Affairs to engage students and encourage participation in both curricular and co-curricular activities.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Director and/or Associate Vice President of Student Affairs.

The Groundskeeper will be responsible for maintaining the college grounds, ensuring a clean, safe, and aesthetically pleasing environment to our campus community. Our Sanborn campus spans 287 acres, and in this role you will be responsible for maintaining the college's grounds, including lawns, recreational areas, and related facilities. This work requires the operation of motorized equipment and the ability to lift more than fifty (50) pounds.
This position will provide a steady and consistent 40 hour work week with overtime opportunities. From mid-March through November shifts will be 6:30am - 3:00pm. From December through mid-March shifts will vary due to snow removal responsibilites. Weekend shifts may also will be required.

Typical Work Activities
1. Maintains and cares for grounds; plants seeds, bulbs, tree seedlings; weeds; prunes trees and shrubs; maintains flowerbeds; trims hedges; mows, rolls, re-seeds and fertilizes lawns; sprays chemicals on infected plants, trees, etc;
2. Operates a variety of motorized equipment, such as tractors, mowers, graders, rollers, and snowplows, in order to maintain grounds and recreational areas, including tubing hills and skating rinks;

7. Moves office equipment and other related equipment within buildings;
8. Picks up and delivers packages and supplies when assigned;
9. Performs inside manual work as required such as janitorial work including picking up refuse, minor painting and general maintenance;
10. Maintains recreational facilities in usable condition including ball-fields, wading pool, tubing hills, skating rinks, etc.;
11. Assists in the construction of fireplaces, tables, new piers, and other facilities;
12. When assigned, may act as relief for other buildings and grounds personnel who are absent due to holiday, personal or sick leave, vacation, and regular days off;

The Housing Operations Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting and enhancing the logistical, administrative, and operational functions of the Association's housing program. This position oversees the daily processes related to residential housing assignments, occupancy tracking, vendor coordination, housing communications, and summer operations. Additionally, the Housing Operations Coordinator supports strategic initiatives to improve housing systems, data management, and resident services.
Essential Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary contact for Association and housing-related inquiries (phone, email, and web), including those from prospective/current residents, parents, campus partners, and summer conference clients.
Coordinate housing assignment processes, including applications, room changes, occupancy tracking, and liaison work with campus offices.
Maintain housing databases and systems; generate occupancy and financial reports to ensure accuracy and data integrity.
Support planning and logistics for move-in, move-out, and other housing transition periods.
Manage logistics and communications for summer housing and external conference groups in collaboration with internal and external partners.

Primary Functions:
* Foster the development of independent, intentional learners
* Help students understand and use effective learning strategies
* Provide tutor assistance in subject areas in one-on-one and group settings
* Information & Computer Technologies (CRC, CPT, CSC, SCR, and OFT courses)

* Develop and nurture rapport with students, peers, and faculty

SUNY Niagara has a need for a part time Technical Assistant to work in both our Music department and Audio Recording and Production department within our Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences division.

The rate of pay is based on the level of education the candidate possesses. For a Bachelor's degree or lower the rate of pay will be $21.86 per hour. For a Master's degree or higher the rate of pay will be $24.04 per hour.
