Textile Production Associate
Full‑Time $16.00 per hour
The Textile Production Associate is responsible for preparing, sorting, tagging, and hanging donated apparel and textiles for placement on the sales floor. This position also supports customer service efforts by engaging with customers and upholding a high standard of service, while contributing to the overall success of store operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sorts, prices, tags, and hangs donated goods in preparation for sales floor placement
Utilizes POS system to select proper price per pricing structure
Evaluates merchandise quality and identifies items suitable for salvage
Achieves daily production benchmarks as follows:
550 units per day for standard sorting, tagging, and hanging
750 units per day when working with pre-sorted clothing
Or meets team-based production targets as designated by management
Conducts daily and end-of-day recovery tasks to maintain a clean, organized sales floor
Provides prompt and courteous assistance to customers, answering questions and addressing concerns
Adheres to all safety, cleanliness, and housekeeping protocols
Demonstrates a professional, flexible attitude and a willingness to assume varied responsibilities as needed
Upholds and promotes the mission and core values of Goodwill
Performs other duties as assigned by leadership
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous experience in retail, production, warehouse, material handling, or customer service preferred

Job Summary:
The Assistant Store Manager II provides direct support to the Store Manager of a Band II store in overall store operations in an effort to achieve sales goals while providing excellent customer service to donors and shoppers. The Assistant Store Manager II is responsible for the management of a retail store location in the absence of a Store Manager.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Directly supports the Store Manager in all store operations and employee supervision
Acts as lead greeter to customers and donors and sets the standard for excellent customer service.
Assists in training, supervising, disciplining and scheduling staff and volunteers
Assists in achieving budgeted sales goals while controlling expenses
Achieves production goals
Effectively investigates all accidents and injuries
Maintains a clean and safe environment
Reports known or suspected security or theft problems
Assists customers with selections and purchases; processes donated goods in preparation for stocking the sales floor
Ensure customers are treated in a fair, courteous and efficient manner
Assists in ensuring merchandise colorization and categorization of store inventory and maintaining adequate store inventory

Education & Experience Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent required
1 year prior supervisory experience in a retail or related environment required

Must possess a current valid driver's license and be fully insured according to Maryland law. Must have access to personal vehicle.
Scope of Supervision:
Reports to Store Manager. Directly supervises retail store staff in various roles on shift; typically supervises between 4 - 12 full and part- time employees per shift

The Night Managers serve two important purposes: to provide timely responses to campus problems, and to exhibit a visible staff presence in the residence halls even on a non-emergency basis. Desk Coverage is one of the most important aspects of the residence life program. Night Managers on duty in each of the buildings monitor the building and respond to emergency and crisis situations.
The Night Managers primary responsibility is to monitor the residence hall desk and the university visitation policy. Persons who do not reside in the building should leave their ID's at the front desk during designated visitation times.
Promotes an awareness and understanding of the mission and goals of the Residence Life Office by explaining residence hall policies, programs and staff duties to faculty, staff, guests, parents and students.
Assist in the interpretation and consistent enforcement of all rules and regulations pertaining to the residence hall and University as outlined in the Code of Student Conduct and Residence Hall Contract. Consults with residence life staff on resolving behavior problems, especially those of an ongoing and complex nature.
The Night Manager should attempt to respond to any situations in the building. If there are problems beyond their scope they should contact their immediate supervisor (They may also contact an R.A. on duty or the RD/AC for the building).
Meet monthly with the Night Manager Supervisor to discuss job performance, goals, objectives, problems, concerns and to keep him apprised of what's going on in the hall. Attends and actively, participates in all staff development and training programs developed and sponsored by the Residence Life Office, to include regular meetings, and in-service.
Prepares and submits the necessary reports and other assignments expediently (i.e. work orders, visitation violators, incident reports etc.), insuring the accuracy and completeness of same.
Serves as a mediator in resolving conflict between roommates and students in general.
Knowledgeable of campus and community resources and be able to effectively refer students to the appropriate resources when necessary.
Is positive and constructive in attitudes and actions with regard to the University and the value and opportunities inherent in residence hall life. This is accomplished by serving as a model of maturity and integrity for students and staff in personally observing University and residence hall policies and procedures.
Makes decisions relative to guests being admitted to the building relative to policies and procedures outlined..
External: Must be able to effectively interact with students, parents, colleagues, University staff and faculty and vendors.

The Textile Production Associate is responsible for preparing, sorting, tagging, and hanging donated apparel and textiles for placement on the sales floor. Sorts, prices, tags, and hangs donated goods in preparation for sales floor placement
Utilizes POS system to select proper price per pricing structure
Evaluates merchandise quality and identifies items suitable for salvage
Achieves daily production benchmarks as follows:
550 units per day for standard sorting, tagging, and hanging
750 units per day when working with pre-sorted clothing
Or meets team-based production targets as designated by management
