Develop, update and monitor job progress using QMS program, including scheduling, estimating and budgeting to ensure that construction of project parallels with schedule.
Perform quantity take off(s), cost estimates and bid solicitation.
Provide research options and regulation information as required.
Purchase and coordinate the delivery of certain materials for the project(s) ensuring optimum prices, quality and conformance to specifications and budget.
Reviews and approves invoices and change orders.
Negotiate with subcontractors and vendors for specific trades ensuring that all scope is encompassed.
Review vendor and subcontractor shop drawing submittals for construction as directed by the supervisor.
Relocate to specific job sites (if required) in order to become familiar with procurement and construction practices.
Attend weekly job site meetings. Assist in the preparation of various reports to assist in the successful management of the project(s), such as: monthly red files, progress analysis/schedules, billings and status reports.
Assist in the organization and maintenance of job files to ensure continuity of work flow. Submit verbal and written reports on project status to supervisor.
Communicate effectively with customer, direct consultants and subcontractors on the project(s).
Responsible for the communication, implementation and enforcement of Gray's safety program on site.

Qualifications

We are currently seeking a Site Safety Manager for Highway 74 in Homeland, CA. The Site Safety Manager's duty is to monitor and assess onsite activities, providing guidance and oversight to support safe and efficient operations. Through leadership and collaboration with the project team, the Site Safety Manager shall continuously promote a strong safety culture, reinforce company values, ensure adherence to best practices, effective communication, personal accountability, and employee development.
Essential Functions
* Conduct job-site orientation and safety training for all personnel, including subs.
* Support the project team in complying with IIPP, SSSP, and specific contract language.
* Assist in observing and guiding subcontractors and the project team to manage safety risks.
* Lead accident investigations, prepare detailed reports, and ensure corrective actions are implemented by the project team.
* Coordinate weekly Toolbox talks and RCA meetings with site supervisors.
* Coordinate emergency response and ensure timely medical care for personnel.
* Maintain jobsite postings in compliance with OSHA/Cal-OSHA regulations.
* Conduct safety audits, inspections and communicate them to the project team and subs.
* Ensure operations comply with CA MUTCD standards and temporary traffic control plans.
* Assist the Project Manager or Engineer with safety submittals, reports and documentation.
* Document daily safety inspections and maintain accurate project safety logs.
* Demonstrate skills in managing compliance with Dig Alert (811) permits per CA GC4216.
* Manage procurement, distribution, and training related to PPE and other safety materials.
* Attend or host monthly (all hands) safety meetings held by the owner or agency.
* Perform or assist record testing of noise, airflow, and air quality.
* Perform other safety-related duties as assigned by upper management.
Specific Job Knowledge, Skill and Ability
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.
* Minimum of 10 years of heavy Civil construction experience
* Minimum of 5 years of Safety experience in the construction industry as a safety professional or supervisor with safety responsibility. Airport construction is strongly desired.
* Possess knowledge of federal regulations, Title 8 CCR safety standards, and the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD).
* Certified in OSHA 30-hour Construction (Valid, unexpired OSHA 30 card within the last 3 years)
* Certified OSHA 10 Hour and 30 Hour Outreach Instructor strongly desired.
* BCSP Certification (STSC, CHST, GSP, OHST, SMP, SMS CSP, ASP) desired.
* Current First aid CPR training is required. Qualified "Trainer" in Red-Cross or Medic-FA is a plus.
* Demonstrate competency in their Cal/OSHA-defined role, able to interpret lookahead schedules, identify high-risk activities and potential hazards, and recommend mitigative or corrective actions to the project management team.
* Skilled in documenting and reviewing safety activities, including observations, inspections, RCA and safety meetings, and the preparation of THAs, PTPs, and other critical safety records, in both electronic and hard copy formats.
* Possess solid interpersonal skills, must be able to work well with the construction project site team, owners and construction management firms.
* Moderate Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power Point, and Word.
* Efficient recordkeeping and submittals of required project safety documentation.
Physical Demands
* Sitting or standing for long periods during study periods, meetings, seminars and training sessions.
* Physically examine various operations of work and perform on-site visual evaluations in real-time.
* Ability to lift, carry, push, pull up to 50lbs.
* Walk job sites and other locations including but not limited to elevated heights.

Essential duties and responsibilities of a Collections Analyst include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Develop regular Excel reporting (daily, weekly, monthly) on Accounts Receivable activity and progress by customer, business region, and coordinator.
Analyze account activity to determine patterns for late and disputed payments using analytics to help predict customer behaviors.
Maintain large and complex accounts by establishing a rapport with customers in order to be proactive in having them pay their invoices timely and to collect on past due invoices. Offer solutions to resolve billing disputes and issues.

Limit bad debt exposure by assessing new orders on accounts that have exceeded customer's credit limit. Work with the Credit Analyst to develop credit decisions taking account standing and customer relationship into consideration.
Coordinate with the Regional Credit Manager to identify delinquent accounts for escalation of remedies, including submission of account to attorney for collection; form collection strategies to mitigate customer objections to making timely payments. Follow up with customers on payment plans once established through Legal counsel.
Manage incoming phone calls from external and internal customers while providing excellent customer service. Work with a ‘problem solver' attitude.
Record accurate notes on all communication in AR system.
Utilize company databases and software for data and information to help with collection efforts.
Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements related to collections.
Identify inefficiencies in the collection process and suggest improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to implement best practices and optimize the accounts receivable workflow.
Education and/or Experience
A bachelor's degree and 4 years of billing and collections experience or equivalent combinations of education and experience.

What you can expect
As a summer intern you can expect to handle a variety of real world tasks in support of our Project Managers, Estimators, Project Engineers and or field personnel. Below is an example of intern responsibilities:
Perform job site administration and documentation (under supervision).
Assist in developing and maintaining a Critical Path Method (CPM) schedule.
Track 1 or more of the following: submittals, RFI's and contract change orders, daily cost vs. project budget, quantities and equipment and project logs.
Attend bid review meetings with estimating team to understand the estimate process.
Review proposal specifications, drawings, soils reports and existing site conditions to determine scope of work.
Complete material and quantity take offs according to project scope of work.
Assist superintendent and foreman with layout and other technical requirements.
Assist with diesel emissions control plans and monitoring.
Preparation of work plans and or storm water protection plans.
Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction
