Job Summary

Essential Duties
Lead team in meeting or exceeding site safety goals, by providing a safe work environment, training, and materials as needed, and instilling a culture of safety in Shipping/Warehousing and Private Fleet operations.
Drive down Supply Chain related costs through effective leadership and management of the Plant's Supply Chain resources to include end-to-end site supply chain. Identify, champion, and capture cost savings opportunities through Supply Chain related projects, including collaboration with Corporate Purchasing, Planning, Logistics and Transportation, Sales, Accounting, Customer Care, and the Plant team on the development of a distribution strategy for 1) products shipped from his/her location, and 2) for products manufactured by his/her Plant(s) in both normal and high-volume periods.
Effectively manage Supply Chain resources to ensure Service and Volume goals are met. This includes effective Production Scheduling, Raw Material ordering, managing SMOOSI and Supply Chain execution. Actively lead efforts to become a Shipper of Choice and ensure strategies are in place to meet demand spikes caused by sales promotions, seasonal buys, weather-related business spikes, etc.
Ensure quality standards are met on inbound raw materials and outbound finished goods, as well as in the execution of key Supply Chain processes managed at the Plant. Position Purpose:
Responsible for supervising and overseeing the day to day laboratory operations. Assist staff on complex analysis of problems to determine chemical components of waste materials and appropriate utilization of site processors. Ensures that the laboratory site is in proper compliance with company policies and procedures as well as with appropriate regulatory agencies. Train and assist newly hired laboratory technicians in the various techniques utilized in the laboratory in identifying a variety of hazardous waste materials.
Primary Duties /Responsibilities:
Determine waste acceptability and establish appropriate disposition in accordance with regulatory and company requirements.
Identify and authorize disposal of hazardous waste in accordance with federal and state regulatory and company requirements.
Interpret analytical data and advise appropriate personnel in scheduling waste in and out of the facility as well as coordinate and maintain records for waste shipments off site.
Maintain all laboratory documents as required by company policies and procedures as well as appropriate regulatory agencies.
Operate laboratory to include waste samples, analysis of waste, storage, and appropriate disposal according to quality assurance and control standards.
Work with appropriate in-house personnel as well as customers to streamline approvals and resolve analytical issues.
Provide appropriate training to chemists and laboratory technicians for efficiency and effectiveness in the performance of the duties.

Qualifications
Education / Experience / Background:
Bachelor's degree in Science or a related discipline required.
Prior work experience of 3 to 5 years in the hazardous waste industry preferred
Prior supervisor experience of 1 to 2 preferred.

* Must be able to pass a Mobile Equipment test.
* Must be able to perform work in aerial lifts, scissor lifts, on ladders or other elevated devices.
Working Conditions
The working conditions include an indoor dusty non-air-conditioned industrial manufacturing and warehouse environment. Subject to temperatures that range from 65 to 90 degrees in the general working environment and hotter in certain areas of the plant. Occasional outdoor activities in hot or adverse weather. Twenty-four hour working environment with multiple shifts and varying schedules.
Physical Requirements
