Job DescriptionDescription:
Assists operators with manufacturing operations. These include deburring, cleaning welds, sandblasting, organizing parts and materials, and producing basic assemblies. They are expected to help in all areas of manufacturing where they are needed, including some inventory control, material handling, and building maintenance and some janitorial.
Requirements:
Accurately adjust or make changes to debur machine to ensure parts are left with no rough or sharp edges.
Confer with CNC department when parts don't match print or material discrepancies occur.
Make sure correct tooling or process is used for each part to ensure accuracy of completed part.
Inspect parts thoroughly before taking parts to next operation.
Keep machines in good working condition, preventative maintenance schedule followed, condition of components and complete the daily checklist for housekeeping of areas.
Assist machine shop in other functions when caught up on work.
Assist with machine maintenance when necessary.
Blast parts, materials and subassemblies by using Blast media through Blast machine.
Responsible for Cleaning, deburring and protecting parts for blast according to drawings or operational procedures.
Responsible for maintaining and operating Blast machine and Gear under safe conditions at all times while utilizing ALL provided safety gear.
Report material shortages and or part discrepancies to weld Manager upon receipt of assemblies.
Maintains safe and clean working environment at all times by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Utilize the last 15-30 minutes of shift for housekeeping and organization utilizing the barcode located in Blast area.
Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing other related tasks as needed.
Performs other related duties/projects as assigned.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED.
Previous work experience preferred.
Forklift skills.
Sandblast experience.
Physical Requirements:
Bending and stooping for long periods of time.
Sitting and standing for long periods of time.
Ability to lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs.
Lifting over head up to 50 lbs. on a frequent basis.
Pushing and pulling on a continuous basis.
