Under general supervision of the Branch Manager/Assistant Branch Manager the Delivery Driver/Make Ready will abide by all local and state laws and always operate the company vehicle in a safe manner. Drivers will conduct deliveries and pickups utilizing a company-provided pick-up truck and trailer. Additional duties include preparing porta toilets, wash stations, and luxury stations for delivery including pressure washing, grounds keeps and basic maintenance. Maintains records of deliveries and pick-ups, as well conducts inspections of the equipment before and after the pick-up. Will conduct preoperational inspections on company trucks and trailers prior to taking it on the road to ensure it is safe to drive. This position requires the operation of a company vehicle during company time, and you will be subject to a MVRs (Motor Vehicle Records) Check on initial hire and annually to verify you have a valid acceptable driving status. Provide training assistance for customers by answering general questions regarding the safe operations of vehicles, tools, or machinery. Report any damage to equipment or vehicles that is uncovered during the process of picking up the equipment from the customer to the Branch manager. Promptly report any delays due to breakdowns, weather, traffic conditions, or any other problems relating to timely pickups or delivery of equipment Maintain flexibility in your daily routine to respond to management's responses to customer's demands. Job DescriptionDEFINITION Under general supervision of the Branch Manager/Assistant Branch Manager the Delivery Driver/Make Ready will abide by all local and state laws and always operate the company vehicle in a safe manner. Drivers will conduct deliveries and pickups utilizing a company-provided pick-up truck and trailer. Plans new or modified installations to minimize waste of material, to provide access for future maintenance, and to avoid unsightly, hazardous, and unreliable plumbing systems. Cuts and bends pipe to correct length and shape by use of pipe-bending machine or by placing piper over block and bending by hand. Cuts and threads pipe by use of pipe cutters, cutting torch, and pipe pipe-reading machine. Joins tubing or pipes by means of sleeves, couplings, or unions, and solders joints using torch. Fills pipe systems with water or air and reading pressure gages to determine whether system is leaking. Installs and repairs plumbing fixtures, such as sinks, commodes, bathtubs, water heaters, hot water heaters, hot water tanks, garbage disposal units, dishwashers, and water softeners. Repairs and maintains plumbing, by replacing washers in leaky faucets, mending burst pipes, and opening clogged drains. Installs expansion and discharge valves. Installs water filters. Tests joints and connections for gas leaks using gas detector or soap-and-water solution. Performs other duties and responsibilities assigned by the supervisor.
