OVERVIEW: The Shop Helper Industrial role is responsible for ensuring the successful completion of new panels and retrofits, shop safety, cleanliness, organization, stocking, and any other task assigned by management. While the main function of this position will be located in the Midland Shop, some field work will be required at times. DUTIES: The duties and responsibilities of the Shop Helper may include but is not limited to: Fabricate PLC and Electrical Panels. Retrofit PLC and Electrical Panels. Perform testing and validation of equipment to ensure proper functionality. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in the shop and/or in the field as needed. QUALIFICATIONS: The following are required skills and qualifications: Electrical and fabrication industry experience is preferred. At least 5 years of proven experience as a shop helper or panel fabricator. Strong technical skills and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Willingness to travel to client sites if required. Valid Drivers License. Care for floors, use specified products to wash floors and ask for assistance from the Chef. Clean all spills on floors. Ensure that ample cups, glassware, bowls, silverware, trays, and juice containers are stocked; dairy products, fruit, juice, yogurt, sandwiches, pastries, ice cream, condiments, disposable cups/lids, and tea and coffee condiments are also stocked at all times. Set up a coffee station in the lobby with condiments and pastries for breakfast and dinner service. The station will be set up before every dinner service and torn down after every meal.
