QP manufacturing is searching for an industrial engineer to join our family owned team headquartered in Chardon, Ohio. Document existing processes and implement new processes as needed with necessary supporting standard operating procedures Utilize QP MRP system and document procedures associated with all MRP processes Develop and maintain standard quick run reports to support visual management of QP metrics including: Production efficiency Labor variance QP OTD Vendor OTD Maintenance WO trends and cost Quality performance (scrap dpm, non-conformances) Ensure work center standards (cycle time, material usage, tooling use) are aligned with expectation. Develop and maintain QP training program and ensure new SOP's are added to relevant position skills matrices. This role involves collaborating with production and internal teams to implement innovative manufacturing processes and improvements. The successful candidate will design, maintain, and optimize manufacturing processes within an ERP system, while also ensuring accurate data flow and process integration. Responsibilities + Collect, analyze, and interpret data to optimize production processes. + Collaborate with leaders and production teams to design manufacturing lines and flows in line with lean methodologies. + Evaluate existing processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend improvements to reduce cycle time and minimize waste. + Troubleshoot and resolve production-related issues, including equipment malfunctions, quality concerns, and production delays. + Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as defect rates, downtime, and material utilization. + Lead continuous improvement initiatives and projects to increase productivity and reduce costs. + Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout. + Establish and maintain documentation of manufacturing processes, procedures, and changes. + Provide manufacturing engineering support for all new and existing products. + Specify and design jigs, fixtures, and manufacturing tools. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality, and engineering.
