Location:
Ideal candidate will reside near a major airport in the Midwest and/or Eastern Region of the US as this position will require up to 70% regular travel to the Plant locations.
Position Overview:
The Manufacturing Engineering (with an Electrical Engineering emphasis) will support eight (8) facilities of the North American Food Division manufacturing operations. This position will work closely with the manufacturing facilities in regard to electrical programming, problem solving, etc. for both the 3-Piece and 2-Piece steel and aluminum food cans and end processes.
Duties And Responsibilities:
Reporting directly to the Sr Manager Production Engineering (Electrical) duties would include but not be limited to the following:
Providing problem-solving on electrical technical matters relating to food can and end performance
Developing full documentation package of new and existing installations
Continued support of new installations and plants until production efficiencies and goals are met
Support plants and personnel as required to identify production problems or issues, identify viable solutions and implement the same
Develop job completion schedules and monitor their progress
Guide, support and train plant electrical teams
Qualifications:
In addition to the specific responsibilities listed above, the ideal candidate will possess the following:
Minimum Requirements
BS degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or a related discipline
5+ years in a packaging manufacturing environment, food production or a similar industry.
Strong technical knowledge demonstrating broad understanding of electrical power and controls design and installation
Demonstrated experience in PLC logic programming, documentation, and troubleshooting control programs (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Modicon, etc.)
Experience with facilities power distribution (including voltages to 600v & three phase) and control systems and subsystems
Power transmission equipment such as gearboxes, drive trains, conveying equipment, etc.
Proven record of delivering engineering outputs to achieve scheduled targets
Effective communication skills are needed for this role, both verbal and written as well as the ability to interact with employees at all levels of the organization.
Self-motivated and eager to take the initiative; with the ability to work effectively in a team setting and as an individual
Well organized and detail oriented with good time management skills
Strong PC skills are a must, especially using Word, Outlook, and Excel.

Coordinate entry of all molds, EOAT and degators into preventive maintenance system and develop preventive maintenance instructions
Collaborate with SLMS Engineer to develop internal mold store packaging that supports efficient labor and automation while ensuring safe & defect-free storage, transport and handling at subsequent operations based on SPI packaging standards and best practices
Perform mold specific setup and operational training for mold technicians, supervisors, utilities/operators and managers and oversee mold change, startups and production until safety and proficiency is achieved
Collaborate with project engineering to coordinate engineering changes to molds and molding secondary equipment
Support and continually improve all production molding operations:
Support the production team performance - improving safety, quality and efficiency
Utilize practical problem solving (PPS), kaizen and scientific molding methodologies

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Scientific injection molding knowledge and hands on mold process development ability - Krauss Maffei and VanDorn molding machine experience preferred
Molding automation / EOAT knowledge and hands on molding robot programming ability - Wittmann robot experience preferred
Knowledge of a variety of molding technologies including gas-assist, sequential valve gate processing, applique insert molding, and two-shot / multi-material molding preferred
Knowledge of injection mold design with ability to read and critique drawings and contribute to ensuring high quality mold designs
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Plant Process Engineer is accountable for daily monitoring of quality and process trends, tuning critical parameters, leading investigations and continuous improvement. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Possesses the ability to gather and analyze information and make decisions from a limited number of choices.
A minimum score of 50 on the Wonderlic Select Assessment (Traditional score of 26 on the cognitive portion).
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

Job Overview
To better serve the global auto industry electric vehicle trend in the United States, CATL, through its U.S.-based subsidiary, CATK, is seeking multiple dedicated and experienced Production Quality Engineers to oversee the quality management and control of our production line processes. This role involves implementing quality assurance activities, managing process changes, addressing quality issues, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Essential Functions
Oversee and ensure quality management and control of the production line processes.
Implement and monitor quality control measures to maintain high standards.
Ensure all quality-related activities are performed in compliance with company standards and requirements.
Monitor and manage quality activities including SPC (Statistical Process Control), FAI (First Article Inspection), MES (Manufacturing Execution System) inspection, CTQ (Critical to Quality) management, FIFO (First In, First Out), error prevention, rework, and equipment qualification.
Implement lessons learned and horizontal measures to prevent recurrence of quality issues.
Support various process audits, including process audits and LPA (Layered Process Audit) audits.
Conduct quality risk identification and initiate quality improvement activities.
Manage changes in the production process and ensure effective implementation of process response plans.
Coordinate with relevant teams to handle process changes smoothly.
Provide training and support to enhance the team's overall competency.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in production quality control or quality assurance, particularly in the vehicle manufacturing industry.
Strong knowledge of quality management systems and tools, including SPC, FAI, and MES.
Proficient in using quality analysis and improvement tools such as FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis), FTA (Fault Tree Analysis), 8D (8 Disciplines Problem Solving), Six Sigma, and SPC (Statistical Process Control).
Strong data analysis and processing abilities.
Proficient in using office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to maintain a full-time work schedule with regular in-person attendance is required for this position.
Ability to interact professionally with individuals of varied backgrounds and skill level.
Physical Requirements

Works in conjunction with quality control and quality assurance to resolve nonconforming material issues, customer complaints, complete and implement corrective and preventative action measures, perform FMEA or other analyses to support all quality initiatives.
Assists with providing direction and technical support and or training for production operations.
Supports supply chain to ensure proper material and production planning activities are in place.
Performs work under minimal supervision. Handles complex issues and problems and refers only the most complex issues to higher-level staff.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in metallurgical or chemical engineering.
Prior experience with Thermal Spray Dry and Additive Manufacturing applications a plus.
Prior proven experience with project management and planning required.
