The Role:

* Identify value-added vs. non-value-added work; quantify cycle time, setup/changeover time, utilization and bottlenecks.
Routing Accuracy (≈30%)
* Own the integrity of and routings in the ERP/MES: operations, sequence, work centers, setup/run times, move/queue, and yield/scrap factors.
* Collaborate with manufacturing engineering to ensure changes are accurately reflected in routing data.

The Manufacturing Engineer II position is located in Dixon, IL. This position participates in and contributes to process and product modifications, standards, and improvements. The Engineer II position utilizes knowledge of manufacturing equipment and processes to develop expertise in increasing product quality, output, and cost effectiveness. You will utilize lean tools and thinking in improving value streams, conduct workflow analysis, and lead process improvement and change within the organization. Role Responsibilities:
Supports the appraisal of new product ideas to determine their potential to address customer needs and to achieve goals in revenue growth and market share.
Designs, analyzes, tests, and integrates components to produce final designs; and evaluates the design's overall effectiveness, cost, reliability, and safety.
Develops, executes, and evaluates fitness for use testing, product specifications, and process validation plans.
Works in cross-functional teams and is responsible for all phases of assigned standard engineering projects, ensuring the successful conclusion of all phases within an appropriate time and at an appropriate cost.
Prepares or secures and reviews cost estimates, completes required cost and equipment information, and writes appropriation requests.
Provides input on technical program objectives and product specifications to meet manufacturing needs. Keeps informed of new or improved designs, methods, and techniques, materials, and other advances in engineering technology.
Provides technical support and collaboration to manufacturing, production, and clients through customer visits and/or consultations; ensures product design meets manufacturing and/or procurement requirements.
Participates in short-range planning and technical forecasting. Prepare and present technical results and information in a clear and concise manner through drawings, specifications, reports, and oral presentations to meet Company and customer needs.
Ensures compliance with government and organization engineering standards
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, from an accredited College or University
3+ years of hands-on experience of industrial manufacturing or engineering
Preferred Qualifications:
FAA Certification experience
Experience with Oracle or other ERP systems
Annual Salary Range: $71,900 - $91,700. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to applicable work experience, training, education, performance.

Job Description
Segula Technologies is seeking an IndustrialEngineer to support new product introductions at a major OEM facility. This role focuses on methods development, line balancing and continuous improvement-ensuring production lines meet performance, safety, and quality targets throughout launch and ramp-up in collaboration with Manufacturing and Engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct time and motion studies, develop standardized work, and balance operator workloads to align with takt time using Pre-determined Time Standards like MTM, MOST or MODAPTS
Present the line balance to the core launch team which will include product, engineering and operational team members.
Lead throughput and bottleneck analysis to identify improvement opportunities and eliminate constraints.
Collaborate with Station Design, Manufacturing Engineering, and Quality teams to implement design and process improvements.
Provide data for ergonomic evaluations using digital tools such as Process Simulate Human or ErgoMan to ensure operator safety.
Validate PFMEA and process documentation for compliance and launch approval.
Lead or participate in continuous improvement (Kaizen) workshops and lean manufacturing initiatives.
Track and report launch metrics including cycle time adherence, first-time quality, downtime, and throughput performance.
Support pilot builds, tool tryouts, and process validation during pre-production phases.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related discipline) or relevant work experience
3-5 years of experience in an automotive manufacturing or assembly environment.
Proficiency in using AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel for line layouts and analysis.
Experience with lean manufacturing, line balancing, and standardized work principles.
Strong working knowledge of PFMEA, lean methodologies, and ergonomic design.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
Experience supporting vehicle launch, retooling, or model change programs.
Familiarity with Tecnomatix Process Simulate, Power BI, or other digital manufacturing tools.
Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing certification (Green Belt or higher).
Experience with SAP, MES, or similar production tracking systems.
Working knowledge of throughput simulation and material flow optimization.
