Job Purpose Provide technical support for operations/production, maintenance, and quality of metal forming processes including all process steps associated with the manufacturing of axle tubes and spindles. These processes include tubular cutting, zinc phosphate coating, hydraulic and mechanical forming processes, post machining, and friction welding. About the team: The Advanced Manufacturing (AME) Team is an exciting team of engineers tasked with industrializing products from paper ideas to fully qualified, functioning machining, assembly and test equipment. Provide direction for controls equipment locations for safety, maintenance and production consideration for tool install and through launch. Verify all Ford safety standards are followed Analyze customer requirements and map to NGAVS systems design Develop process flow diagrams based on customer input Own for the integration of NGAVS with Ford Vehicle Operations tooling and process control systems Work with vendor controls engineers to install, test, and debug standard NGAVS logic and drivers Create custom PLC code for plant unique situations or modify standard templates and AOLs to address issues identified by others
