The Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring that manufactured or purchased components meet engineering specifications through inspection methods, documentation, and problem-solving. This role also includes disassembly analysis of rejected parts to identify failure modes and drive corrective actions into the production process. Duties and Responsibilities Compare measurements obtained on manufactured or purchased components to engineering drawing specifications (including GD&T). Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections using a variety of precision gages and measurement systems. Conduct disassembly/teardown analysis on rejected parts to determine the root cause of failure or nonconformance. Document inspection and teardown findings and communicate results to engineering, production, and quality teams.
