RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Site Quality Inspector, you will:
Be responsible for inspecting all site welds and ensuring compliance with governing guidelines.
Stop and report all unsafe conditions and acts.
Understand the governing construction codes.
Understand the inspection and test plan requirements applicable to the work scope.
Ensure welders are qualified for the welding being performed.
Inspect the welds, assigns numbers for the weld map, create weld logs.
Perform all aspects of Hydro-test and Turnover Package maintenance.
Utilize punch lists to identify incomplete items and present to supervision.
Compile all appropriate documents in the turnover package.
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of 2 years professional experience with piping inspection
Turnover package creation
Experience with at least one of the following: Heat Maps, Weld Maps, Hydro Packages
Certified Welding Inspector with AWS or similar
Knowledge of ASME codes and applications
Has administered weld tests, as required
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a constantly changing environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Excel, WORD, Outlook, and technical aptitude to learn new systems

Position Summary:
The FPI Inspector is responsible for performing Fluorescent Penetrant Inspections on precision aerospace components to detect surface discontinuities such as cracks, porosity, and laps. This position plays a key role in ensuring parts meet critical aerospace standards and customer specifications. The inspector must operate within NADCAP, AS9100, and customer-specific requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform FPI processes in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and specifications (e.g., ASTM E1417, AMS 2644).
* Interpret and evaluate indications using black light and visual examination to determine acceptability per engineering and customer criteria.
* Properly prepare parts through pre-cleaning, penetrant application, dwell time, excess penetrant removal, developer application, and inspection.
* Use manual and/or automated FPI lines safely and efficiently.
* Document inspection results accurately in inspection reports, travelers, and/or quality databases.
* Identify, segregate, and tag non-conforming parts and communicate findings to Quality and Production teams.
* Maintain equipment and process control records in compliance with NADCAP and internal audit requirements.
* Support periodic NDT audits and participate in corrective action processes.
* Handle aerospace components carefully to prevent damage or contamination.
* Ensure all safety procedures are followed, including use of PPE and handling of chemicals.
Required Qualifications:
* High school diploma or GED required.
* Certified to ASNT SNT-TC-1A or NAS 410 Level II in Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI); Level I candidates will be considered with the ability to certify to Level II.
* 2+ years of hands-on FPI inspection experience, preferably in aerospace or defense manufacturing.
* Familiarity with aerospace quality systems (AS9100, NADCAP, ITAR).
* Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and visual acuity under UV lighting.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
* Proficient in documenting inspection results and using basic computer systems.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple inspection tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
* Knowledge of other NDT methods (Mag Particle, Eddy Current, Ultrasonic, Radiographic) is a plus.
* Familiarity with Pratt & Whitney, Boeing, Lockheed Martin, or GE Aviation specifications.
* Experience working in a NADCAP-accredited facility.
Work Environment:
* Manufacturing and inspection lab environment with exposure to chemicals, UV light, and moderate noise.

Position Summary
The Senior Demand Side Management Program Inspector (DSM Program Inspector) is an Outreach Representative position that will serve as the main point of contact for contractors promoting Duke Energy's Residential Smart $aver Home Improvement Rebate, Find it Duke, and other energy efficiency, or demand response programs. As a Sr DSM Program Inspector, you will develop relationships with the contractors/trade allies, introduce those trade allies to Duke Energy Residential Products and Services, and nurture the long-term relationship for further cross-sell rebate opportunities as new products and services are introduced to Duke Energy residential customers.
Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to the following:
Effectively support the residential energy efficiency programs by performing outreach, recruitment, and training of program trade allies/vendors and their personnel
Oversight of assigned program trade allies and their employees
Relationship building with the residential Trade Ally contractor network including attending trade shows and networking events
Relationship management, including project support, rebate submission and system support
Regional strategy planning
Energy efficiency (EE)/Demand Side Management (DSM) program training
Retention of residential trade ally contractors
Provide EE/DSM program technical support for external/internal customers, including preparing and delivering presentations
Oversee, manage and perform specialized inspections of completed program contractor/vendor work on residential and non-residential DSM programs to ensure QA/QC and compliance as mandated by the PSC.
Manage field activities of Program Inspectors, residential and non-residential program contractor/ vendors performance through continuous monitoring of quality, responsiveness and DSM program compliance.
Act as technical liaison between Duke Energy, local and state inspection authorities, builders, contractors/vendors to ensure QC and problem resolution.
Responsible for implementing and coordinating strategic plan for training to enhance and increase skill-set of Program Inspectors and contractor/vendor to meet mandated requirements.
Manage contractor/vendor DSM program compliance inspections; invoicing, Fastrack and contractor/vendor feedback surveys to ensure all DSM programs are within PSC compliance.
Strategically identify and develop business relationships with contractors/vendors, manufactures, local and state inspection authorities, builders, and 3rd party vendors that result in increased DSM program quality and participation.
Research, recruit, select and train residential and non-residential program contractor/vendors for program participation.
Oversee, manage and execute meetings and quarterly evaluations for all contractors/vendors to monitor performance, identify issues and adjust to changing conditions.
Develop training seminars for internal and external personnel associated with Demand Side Management & Energy Efficiency goal attainment, DSM Participation and Program Standards, and DSM contractors/vendors participation requirements.
Manage contractual obligations for contractors/vendors DSM programs. Work with Supervisor to develop action plans to achieve defined DSM goals and strategies.
Collaborate with Product, Services and Program Manager(s) as well as other associated stakeholders for the implementation, QC of DSM Program filings which meet company goals and PSC mandates.
Work with Supervisor to mentor team members to increase management capabilities, contractors/vendors performance, and build consistencies across assigned jurisdictions.
Manage contractor/vendor relationships including: Performance; QC; tracking and reporting of DSM program contractor/vendor participation.
Oversee, manage and execute compliance with company safety protocol and all other administrative responsibilities, aligning business unit policies and procedures for the team.
Collaborate with Products, Services and Program Manager(s) and other associated stakeholders as a technical resource for DSM Program application and evaluation for effectiveness.
Proactively look for opportunities in team performance with inspection requirements, administrative tasks, finance and operations and work with Supervisor to develop improvement strategies.
