Primary Duties & Responsibilities Responsible for assisting Quality Manager in maintaining and improving the overall quality system (procedures, systems, processes, cost, and yields) related to manufacturing, support, and development processes. Perform quality inspections, including that of incoming material, work in process or finished goods, and ensure all requirements, both customer and internal, are met, utilizing a wide variety of material characterization processes. Provide assistance and training to quality inspectors and production operators. Accurately document the results of the inspections and other data for reporting and analysis. Mortgage lenders require periodic updates on their properties and to do this they send out independent contractors. The purpose of the property inspection is: To verify property occupancy. To report on the general condition of the property using a mobile application. Most inspections are exterior only. About 10% require interior photos after the property has gone vacant. We contract with inspectors at a county level. This means that you would be responsible to complete all inspections in your county. In some cases, you will split the county with another inspector if there is enough volume for two inspectors. Responsibilities Most common type of inspection should only take 5-6 minutes. Complete the inspection within 4 days after it is assigned. Report general property conditions and make a determination of occupancy based on industry standards. Take 9+ photos of the property with brief comments. Complete a short form in an app. Requires being able to spend extended periods of time driving while making numerous stops during the day in the assigned territory. JOB PROFILE The Rental Equipment Inspector will inspect rental equipment for damage and safety issues prior to equipment leaving the Cat Rental Store property for rent to customers, and immediately upon return to the property following rent. We are searching for a talented and self-motivated NDI Inspector - Trainee to help us create the future of flight. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following: Responsibilities * Accurately follow written instructions and clearly record results under close supervision. * Show continuous progression within the NDT certification process based on demonstrated performance and feedback from others. * Successfully pass various examinations (domestic travel required when attending training sessions). * Illustrate the ability to make sound decisions on how to inspect and process parts. * Follow established procedures and part specific techniques. * Must know and follow all department and company safety rules. * Successfully perform calibrations, tests, and evaluations with NDT equipment. * Be able to learn and operate ultrasonic test equipment. Minimum Requirements * Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g., Associate Degree) or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. 2 years' related work experience). (High School Diploma or equivalent required). * Ability to read specifications, formulas, charts, tables, drawings; comprehend and follow verbal instructions. * Ability to perform intermediate arithmetic calculations in order to complete assigned duties. * Must have a high level of integrity and able to accept an elevated level of responsibility. * Excellent attention to detail and due diligence in assigned work. * Customer-centric attitude to the quality of assigned work with a desire to ensure continual and consistent client satisfaction is required. * Proficient understanding of the metric system. * Interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively with coworkers. * Intermediate Microsoft Office computer skills, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. * US Person required. Preferred Requirements * Knowledge of and compliance with AS9100 and NAS410 standards. * Effective collaboration across work cells that promote drive for results in meeting production targets. * Understanding of industry standard equipment and technical expertise. * Self-starter with problem-solving skills. * Strong team building, and decision-making skills based on electronic data. * Experience in NDT highly desirable. * Ability to read technical documentation preferred. * Basic knowledge and understanding of inspection technology preferred. Physical Requirements * Able to work in a manufacturing environment and follow Boeing regulations for lifting. * Able to bend, twist, squat, and lift. * Able to operate a forklift. * Able to work flexible schedule, including extended hours and weekends. * Successful candidate may be required to work any shift - first, second or third. * Work onsite in Columbus, MS. * Less than 10% travel requirement, Candidate must be willing to travel between Aurora sites for production support, and as needed for training purposes, with reasonable notice. Salary Range (Annualized USD) * Minimum Range: $35,000.00 to $63,000.00 * Maximum Range: $42,000.00 to $75,000.00
