The position of Installer is responsible for assembling and installing various type of sign packages and building elements according to site specific drawings and specifications. Perform customer installations according to install order which includes drawings and specific directions Operate a boom truck, workout of baskets, lifts, scaffolding and perform work while on ladders Use and operate a wide variety of power tools, ranging from drills to jackhammers, arch welding and stick welding, band saws, drills, and table saws Complete required documentation for each job site and participate in safety training and inspections Abide by all OSHA, DOT, site specific and Allen Industries safety regulations when in Allen Facilities and when working at a customer site Perform site surveys Ensure all signs and building materials arrive damage free Up to 75% travel is required for this position including extended stays and possible weekends To become a part of our team we require applicants for our Installer position to have the following qualifications: SKILLS Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. Job Responsibilities: • Ensure all decks and sunrooms are built plumb, square, and comply with Champion engineering specifications as well as regulatory code requirements • Review contract folder and all instructions/drawings before leaving on assignments to clarify work to be completed • Responsible for the installation of the job and the direction of the helper to ensure a Champion quality job is completed in a safe and timely manner • Interact with Champion customers in a professional manner, while maintaining the integrity of Champion's reputation • Ensure vehicle being driving is fully equipped with all necessary parts, products, tools, and resources necessary to complete assigned projects • Coordinate the procurement of glass orders and carpet • Assist with the unloading of delivery trucks • Assist Installation Manager in contributing to meeting company standards and achieving departmental goals Job Requirements • 3-5 years prior experience in construction and skilled labor involving carpentry, roofing, window installation • High School diploma or GED required, associate's degree or trade school experience in construction or related field preferred • Experience in the use of a brake, and other hand tools such as a utility knife, hammer, deglazing tools, etc • Clean driving record with the ability to regularly operate and manage the maintenance of a fleet vehicle • Basic arithmetic abilities including using a tape measure • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Certified in lead standard Champion is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer
