Rentokil is currently hiring for a Full-Time Construction Installer, in the East Hanover, NJ & Staten Island, NY area.
This is a traveling position where you will be traveling for a minimum of 2 weeks at a time and working 8-12 hours per day, and up to 50+ hours a week. During travel, transportation, lodging and meals expenses are covered.
What do our Construction Installers do?
Our Construction Installers are responsible for using hand and power tools to install bird deterrent products such as bird netting and spikes in commercial facilities such as distribution centers, transportation facilities and aircraft hangars. You will be working at average heights of 40 ft primarily in aerial lifts, but also on roofs and scaffolding.
Construction Installers perform bird control services safely and according to company guidelines and standard practices. This service will be performed on customer property in such a way that our customers' expectations are met and often exceeded. Communicating and installing a quality product is critical of our service .You will be responsible for maintaining good customer relations and fostering long-term relationships with our district offices and service customers. Good relations include dealing with our district office mgmt. and coworkers as well as our service customers in a courteous manner at all times, leaving their premises and furnishings as clean as when you found them. You must communicate with our customers what actions you have taken while servicing their property. You are responsible for maintaining appropriate service standards on all accounts where you perform our service.
* Train company colleagues in respect to bird and bat applications

* Actively participate in group meetings to develop new and better ways to meet and exceed our customers' needs
* Identify customer's bird and/or problems and apply appropriate preventive steps where no problems currently exist

* Assist sales and management personnel in reviewing accounts and up-grading them as appropriate for the level of service, product, time requirements, and pricing
* Responsible for timely and proper completion of the customers' and administrative reports
* Responsible for attaining level of productivity based on level of training, experience, and type of accounts serviced. Including proper usage of all power equipment and aerial work platforms.
* Participate in off-hours and weekends services when requested
* Tolerate a variety of environmental conditions, including seasonal weather, damp and/or dusty locations
* Use application and inspection equipment and small hand and power tools
What do you need?
* Technicians must be flexible with their working hours, able to work all shifts, and able to travel throughout our national coverage areas. We strive to provide a routine work schedule for our coworkers and consider their personal needs. We must accommodate our customer's needs, however, and this may result in extended working hours (50-60 per week) including nights and weekends when required by customer needs.

Base Pay Range
Hourly: $19.00 - $27.00

The Telecommunications Equipment Installer III (Lead) is responsible for the installation and maintenance of telecommunication equipment for a variety of carriers. Making connections / terminations to BDFBs and fuse panels.
Identify, label, measure, terminate and physically route power cables to servers, switches, and other equipment, adhering to electrical safety standards.
Identify, label, measure, terminate and physically route fiber optic and copper cables for high-speed data transmission, ensuring precise cable management and minimal signal loss
Set up and install power distribution units (PDUs), ensuring redundancy and proper load balancing to prevent power issues.
Conduct testing and document performance characteristics of hardware and software; determine efficiency, reliability, and compatibility with existing system.
Conduct fiber light meter, CAT5/6 and volt ohm meter testing to ensure proper levels, continuity, and termination points.
Perform test and turn-up along as well as other integration activities.
Resolve equipment and technical issues as they arise.
Read, analyze, and interpret detailed specifications and drawings, blueprints, schematics, and method of procedures (MOPs)
Perform quality validation on in-process and completed work.
Complete operations paperwork (e.g., expense reports, timesheets, job documentation, etc.) including daily job status reports as requested.
May oversee the work of less experienced installers; assume responsibility for the successful completion of installation projects.
Act as a customer contact; interface with customers and local supervisors regarding project status
