Hours This position will be based on 1st shift (5:00 am-1:00 pm), however we will also consider candidates interested in working a split shift covering 1st and 2nd shifts. Please note, you may be required to work after normal business hours including weekends for power shutdowns, maintenance, repairs, installations, etc. on an as needed basis. SYSTEM TESTING & FAULT DETECTION: Examine and test elements of electrical systems to locate faults, defects, and unsafe conditions using appropriate diagnostic equipment and techniques. CROSS-FUNCTIONAL COORDINATION: Coordinate with other Maintenance staff and contractor staff to accomplish work on new and renovated space, ensuring compliance with applicable company guidelines as well as national, state, and local regulations and requirements. CUSTOMER RELATIONS: Maintain good working relationships with staff and internal customers by displaying positive outlook and friendly relationships. TROUBLESHOOTING & REPAIR: Correct problems in electrical systems by troubleshooting circuits, replacing defective equipment such as over-current protection, wiring, motors, starters, and other related electrical parts, and removing items from power supply to halt unsafe operation. PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE PROGRAM: Implement an effective preventive maintenance program using the site's computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). Perform preventive/predictive maintenance, repairs and adjustments on systems and controls, monitor and record effectiveness of maintenance activities and take corrective actions. SPECIAL ASSIGNMENTS: Perform special tasks requiring similar duties and responsibilities, as assigned. Required Qualifications Must be a Journeyman Electrician or nearly complete with the Journeyman path. Must have the training acquired of a 5 year period.
