Qualifications
Education: Master's Degree in Human Service field (e.g. Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, etc.), or RN - preferably BSN.
Licensure/Certification: Licensed Louisiana RN, LCSW, LMSW, LPC, PLPCpreferred.

Follows a set daily schedule providing instructional support to students with disabilities within the inclusive, resource and self-contained classrooms as well as moderate/severe self-contained classrooms to include, but not limited to cognitive, gross/fine motor and adaptive behavior skills, vocational skills, social and leisure skills, physical development and fitness.
Assists in the routine supervision of study areas, cafeterias, halls, playgrounds, instructional field trips and bus loading areas by being aware of the environment and potential hazards of each child's actions when applicable for students with disabilities.
Performs routine sanitation duties to ensure a clean/sterile environment (e.g., clean dishes, tables, toys, therapy equipment, etc.).
Implements strategies that reinforce positive student behavior. Works closely with the classroom teacher to
implement positive behavior supports and Behavior Plans as applicable. Interaction with student misbehavior shall be appropriate and respectful. Handle with Care training required as applicable.
Assists students in using computer applications and related assistive technology.
Assists designated instructional service providers (i.e. Physical Therapist) with physical development activities when applicable.
Attend workshops and trainings as required by the district.

The program specializes in diverting youth from out of home placements by helping their families safely maintain youth in their home environment. SUMMARY
The Therapist at UPRISING ADDICTION CENTER is responsible for providing addiction and mental health treatment to patients in the Inpatient Detoxification, Resident Treatment (RTC), and Partial Hospital Program (PHP). As part of a multidisciplinary team, the Counselor will perform direct services, including individual, family and group psychotherapy, assessments, consultations and crisis interventions within the scope of the respective individuals license.

Presents changes, improvements or additions to protocols or behavioral health services to the team.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education, Training, and Experience Required:
Mental health professional licensure in Louisiana, to include Licensed Psychologist (Ph.D., Psy.D., Ed.D.), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW/LMSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC/P-LPC)), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT/P-LMFT).
Successful completion of continuing education as required by license issuing body.

Primary Purpose: To deliver targeted, data-driven academic interventions-specifically for Tier 3 students-in reading or math. The interventionist works in small group or one-on-one settings to accelerate student progress, and collaborates with campus staff to support MTSS processes and student academic success.
