Your Role
As a Mental Health Advisor, you will provide clinical supervision, staff support, and consumer intervention while helping to maintain program quality and compliance. You will serve as a key member of the Adult Services team, fostering collaboration, professional growth, and positive outcomes.
What You'll Do:
Supervise, train, evaluate, and manage assigned Adult Services staff, including assisting with personnel processes such as hiring, interviewing, and performance management.
Provide clinical supervision and support for staff cases, including reviewing documentation such as SARJs, RPOCs, and Crisis Plans.
Assist staff in crisis interventions and home visits, providing clinical feedback and support to consumers as needed.
Support staff with community resource recommendations, professional development, and training on mental health needs. Serve as a liaison for the organization and programs with stakeholders, including Milwaukee County.
Complete and submit required documentation by deadlines. Maintain effective communication, collaboration, and cooperation with all stakeholders.
Follow all duties as a mandated reporter. Attend meetings and professional development activities. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited school.

Minimum of three (3) years of experience working with mental health and/or substance use.
Strong written and verbal communication skills suitable for diverse audiences.

Pay will be set in accordance with the Compensation Plan and Wisconsin Administrative Code in effect at the time of hire. A probationary period is required.
Candidates with no prior permanent employment with the State of Wisconsin in the past 5 years may be eligible to accept a sign-on bonus of $3,000. The sign-on bonus will be paid in two installments: $1500 on the first paycheck and $1500 with the paycheck for the pay period in which the employee attains permanent status (usually 1 year). (UW System employment isn't disqualifying.)
To receive the bonus, a candidate must sign an agreement indicating they will remain in that occupational area for a year. If the candidate leaves their occupational area prior to completing the one year, they may be required to reimburse the initial payment.

Job Details
These positions will normally be on site, but certain sites may have occasional remote work available. You can ask about a specific location if you are offered an interview.

About the Care Provider Position
The Care Provider provides services for a diverse population of Unaccompanied Children (UC) of all ages and genders. POSITION SUMMARY
The Crisis Counselor provides walk-in, telephone and mobile interventions to individuals experiencing a mental health emergency. This position also provides the client linkage and follow-up to community resources.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Crisis intervention for Kenosha County:
a. Respond in timely manner to caller; prioritize calls as necessary
b. Determine need for phone or on-site intervention and respond accordingly
c. Perform assessment and ascertain elements of crisis and degree of danger/urgency involved; obtain assistance as needed and facilitate outcome
d. Defuse immediate crisis reactions; collaborate with involved parties to develop safety plan, advocate as needed and facilitate outcome
e. Provide supportive listening, feedback, information and referral
f. Respond to local detention facilities for suicide assessment of targeted inmates
2. Refer/provide authorization for county-funded services as appropriate
a. Consult with ER staff when voluntary placements need to be funded by Kenosha County
3. Assess/provide emergency psychiatric inpatient hospital authorization when deemed appropriate
a. Assist law enforcement in determining the need for involuntary inpatient care
b. Present alternatives when suitable i.e., safety planning
c. Assess and assist in determining suitable placement for voluntary detox of substance addicted persons
4. Assess/refer/admit to KARE Center for crisis stabilization and/or to defer emergency hospital admissions
a. May provide facilitating services (such as transportation) as needed
5. Respond to crime scenes as requested by Law Enforcement
a. Assist police as requested and instructed
b. Assist in defusing victims and witnesses
c. Provide referrals/immediately needed services
d. Create short term safety plans for victims and witnesses involved, facilitate as needed
6. Perform individual employee requirements for continuing education and clinical supervision as required for agency
a. Maintain accurate record of task completion
7. Perform other work as required by the Emergency Mental Health Services Supervisor
8. Promptly complete all required documentation for work as described above

Job Scope: Provide intensive, recovery-oriented behavioral health services to adults living in the community with serious mental illness as part of a Team-based Community Support Team (CST). This position provides a mixture of therapy, crisis intervention, community support, and case management depending on a client's needs, and coordinate a range of individual and group treatment services that target assessed areas of functional impairment and promote independence through the development and use of natural community supports. Clinical Responsibilities
Provide in-person supportive therapy, case management, community support, crisis intervention and stabilization services to CST clients
Complete comprehensive mental health assessments, crisis plans, and service plans to clients assigned to CST using IM-CANS
Facilitate referrals for additional services consistent with assessed needs and consumer's desired outcomes
Participate in team-based services to improve client ADLS and independent living skills

Promote opportunities for clients to build natural systems of support within their communities through exposure to recreational, spiritual, educational, vocational, volunteer and civic activities
Participate with other CST members in rotating 24/7 coverage of on-call crisis and stabilization coverage, pending MHP credential
Administrative and Performance Requirements
Work with Community Support Team Supervisor, Program Assistant, and Team members to assess, plan, and participate in provision of services
Meet productivity target estimated at 45-55% billable service
Participate in supervision as directed and seek additional clinical and program consultation as needed

Interpret and communicate, at the service delivery level, Center policies and procedures

Work Environment
A majority of the employee's time will be spent in the community, driving to and from client homes and providing services in client's homes

As a summer camp counselor, you will be an integral part of our summer camp team, specializing in non-formal environmental education day camp programming for children ages 4-14. You will plan, develop and co-teach programs specializing in urban outdoor recreation activities at one or multiple of our UEC branches.
The UEC will hire fifteen (15) Summer Camp Counselors.
Our Summer Employment and Internship Experience:
The Summer Camp Counselor is paid a stipend of $1,120 on a bi-weekly basis.
This role is allotted 3 days (24 hours) of PTO for planned vacation or sick days.
You will attend training for the first two weeks of your experience, with opportunities for further learning & development throughout the summer. We host both a Summer Kickoff event and an End of Summer Celebration.

Create camper-centered programming throughout the summer and prepare materials for activities (both digitally and manually).

What does a typical workday look like?
Condition & Location:
Our summer camps are located in Milwaukee at our three branches (Riverside Park, Washington Park, and Menomonee Valley) and spend 90% of their time outdoors, the work environment will be dependent on weather conditions. Work will be conducted on land and in/near water.
Open shared office workspace with an active team atmosphere.
Schedule:
Generally 8-hour days, beginning between 7:30-9am and ending between 4-5:30pm.
Equipment Used:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Classroom Teacher will be directly responsible to the building principal for all matters pertaining to the operation of the school plan, in-building administrative and personnel procedures, and general or district-wide policies. He/she will be indirectly responsible to the Director of Secondary Education for all matters pertaining to curriculum, instructional methods, assessment and materials.
Responsibilities:
* Provide orientation to incoming students;
* Assist the building administrator in organizing staffing and implementing August registration for students;
* Review documents for registration and placement purposes;
* Evaluate student transcripts in order to create schedules and individual learning plans;
* Administer and score reading and writing assessments to determine student progress;
* Record grades on student transcripts and maintain student cumulative files and other records;
* Participate in student in-take process;
* Assist the building administrator and other personnel in evaluating student placement for the next school year;
* Establish a helping relationship with each counselee and provide individual counseling to students;
* Work with parents/guardians of students individually or in a small groups to help them: (a) understand the school; (b) cooperate with efforts to help the student; (c) understand the students school program, behavior issues, abilities and goals; (d) provide information that may be of use to the school to help the student; (e) assist in the solution of problems that the student is experiencing;
* Work with teachers and other school employees to help them understand and support students who are experiencing educational and emotional issues;
* Work with special service personnel regarding referrals of students, participate in staffing regarding student needs and provide other general assistance to special service personnel as directed by the site supervisor;
* Assist with contacts to agencies, organizations and others in the community to ensure that local resources are utilized;
* Initiate student/parent/guardian referrals to community resources as needed;
* Participate in formal and informal public relations activities in order to promote acceptance of guidance as a reliable and valuable student service;
* Contribute to the solution of student issues such as truancy, failures, and disinterest in school, discipline issues, assorted conflicts and dropouts. The counselor is expected to seek out such students and provide appropriate guidance and counseling services;
* Participate in various group/guidance programs in order to provide students with information and insight pertaining to testing programs, job opportunities, school policies, regulations, procedures, programs, etc.;
* Assist in the organization and administration of state, district and school testing programs for students, but shall not serve as the building test coordinator;
* Make every reasonable effort to become more knowledgeable and competent by participating in in-service programs, maintain membership in professional organizations, reading professional literature, taking additional graduate work and attending appropriate professional conferences;
* Participate in the evaluation and revision of the school guidance program and plan the guidance program calendar;
* Fulfill professional responsibilities; (a) maintain confidentiality; (b) maintain records consistent with ethical and legal guidelines; (c) participate on the school-based crisis team; (d) perform responsibilities in an organized, accurate, timely and dependable manner; (e) operate within the established district and school procedures and policies; (f) provide support for other school and district programs and personnel; (g) utilizes computers effectively in the performance of assigned duties and responsibilities;
* Perform such other guidance-related duties as may be assigned by the Associate Superintendent of Teaching, Learning and Professional Practices and/or the Guidance Academic Chair.
* Perform such other professional duties as may be assigned by the building principal.
Qualifications: Must have valid Illinois Professional Educators License. Teaching experience (including student teaching and internship) at identified grade level within the last five years preferred.
Endorsements: School Counselor, Grade 9-12.
Compensation: Per Teacher Contract.
