Overview:
Studies, assesses, and determines the origin and cause of fires and explosions in residences, commercial/industrial dwellings, vehicles, heavy equipment, marine equipment, and other property. Analyzes fire debris and burn patterns to determine a fire's origin and cause. Conducts fraud analyses for possible arson-related losses. Prepares detailed written reports of findings that illustrate the conclusions and opinions of the investigation. Works under general supervision, exercising initiative and independent judgment in the performance of assigned tasks.
Essential Job Functions:
* Determines the origin and cause of structural, equipment, and vehicular fires and explosions.
* Assists in securing the fire/explosion scene to prevent removal or damage of evidence.
* Conducts on-site, hands-on forensic fire analysis. This includes scene photography, interviewing witnesses, gathering information, taking possession of damaged property, determining cause and origin, preparing reports, and providing testimony in deposition and trial.
* Searches for, identifies, collects, and labels any evidence of possible arson at the fire scene, including devices used to set, start, or further the progress of fire; protects the chain of custody of evidence.
* Provides technical and scientific support to clients for subrogation and litigation purposes.
* Conducts code compliance research, including electrical, gas, and installation code violations.
* Facilitates and helps present continuing education seminars on fire-related topics.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Experience, Education, and Certifications:
* Applicant must have a NAFI-CFEI. Additionally, the applicant must have the ability to obtain an IAAI-CFI within 6 months of employment.
* Minimum of 10 years of related work experience.
* AAS in Fire Science or related experience as a fire investigator, firefighter, or law enforcement.
Required Skills and Abilities:
* Valid driver's license and reliable form of transportation.
* Must have a high level of analytical skill. Work requires continual attention to detail with the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
* Must be able to interact and communicate with clients at all levels (e.g., internal and external).

Purpose of Position/Summary
Position works within the Indiana Civil Rights Commission (ICRC). Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Conduct interviews of complainants, respondents and witnesses via phone, office interview, or onsite interview, using generally accepted investigative interviewing principles.
Analyze gathered information, including interviews, comparative information & statistical information.
Concise written articulation of violations (or non-violations) in a case analysis that include relevant facts, interviews, observations, & conclusions gathered, using appropriate formatting as determined by supervisor.
Carry a case load where at no time the number of "aged" cases (180+ days) can exceed 15% of an investigator's case load. REPACE investigators must submit a minimum of three (3) cases per month.
Maintain and update appropriate case file records (chronology) and appropriate databases consistently.
Establish effective working relationships with coworkers, clients and/ or the public by serving as a resource to educate and train others regarding Civil Rights Laws and the work of the ICRC.
Job Requirements:
Thorough knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply the Indiana Civil Rights Law, Commission rules and regulations, court decisions falling within the area of Civil Rights.
Specialized knowledge of the principles, practices, and the past and current trends of Civil Rights Field on a state and national level.
Ability to secure and analyze data and testimony relevant to all areas covered by the Indiana Civil Rights law including housing, credit, public accommodation, and education.

Overview:
Studies, assesses, and determines the origin and cause of fires and explosions in residences, commercial/industrial dwellings, vehicles, heavy equipment, marine equipment, and other property. Analyzes fire debris and burn patterns to determine a fire's origin and cause. Conducts fraud analyses for possible arson-related losses. Prepares detailed written reports of findings that illustrate the conclusions and opinions of the investigation. Works under general supervision, exercising initiative and independent judgment in the performance of assigned tasks.
Essential Job Functions:
Determines the origin and cause of structural, equipment, and vehicular fires and explosions.
Assists in securing the fire/explosion scene to prevent removal or damage of evidence.
Conducts on-site, hands-on forensic fire analysis. This includes scene photography, interviewing witnesses, gathering information, taking possession of damaged property, determining cause and origin, preparing reports, and providing testimony in deposition and trial.
Searches for, identifies, collects, and labels any evidence of possible arson at the fire scene, including devices used to set, start, or further the progress of fire; protects the chain of custody of evidence.
Provides technical and scientific support to clients for subrogation and litigation purposes.
Conducts code compliance research, including electrical, gas, and installation code violations.
Facilitates and helps present continuing education seminars on fire-related topics.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Experience, Education, and Certifications:
Applicant must have a NAFI-CFEI. Additionally, the applicant must have the ability to obtain an IAAI-CFI within 6 months of employment.
Minimum of 10 years of related work experience.
AAS in Fire Science or related experience as a fire investigator, firefighter, or law enforcement.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Valid driver's license and reliable form of transportation.
Must have a high level of analytical skill. Work requires continual attention to detail with the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Must be able to interact and communicate with clients at all levels (e.g., internal and external).
Must know a variety of computer software applications, including but not limited to Microsoft Office applications and computer-assisted engineering and design software.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical reports, journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
Ability to write scopes of work clearly and coherently, budget estimates, schedules, reports of findings, proposals, general correspondence, and other technical documents.

**Position Overview:**
Responsible for providing leadership and guidance to the Special Investigations Unit **Pharmacy** team ininvestigating, collecting, researching and analyzing billing data in order to detect fraudulent, abusive or wasteful activities/practices. Provides comprehensive sound judgment in the application of various investigative methodologies to team members and is able to effectively evaluate and recommend focused investigative activities involving market trends indicating Fraud, Waste and Abuse within the healthcare industry.
**How You Will Make an Impact:**
+ Assisting the team manager with the administration and operational activities occurring within the Special Investigations Unit for **pharmacy Investigations** ; coordinating and conducting case reviews for quality assurance, investigative sufficiency, and case data management; and direction of day-to-day operations as assigned by management
+ Through use of appropriate system tools, provides training for and conducts analysis of data to detect fraudulent, abusive or wasteful payments to providers and subscribers
+ Prepares statistical/financial analyses and reports to document findings and maintains up-to-date case files for management review
+ Prepares final report and notification of findings letter suitable for distribution to providers and legal counsel
+ Creates and presents settlement offers for provider issues for review and approval by management and/or legal
+ Communicates orally and in writing with all customers, internal and external, regarding findings
+ Assists management and provides recommendation in support of the development of policy and/or procedures to prevent loss of company assets
+ Prepares and delivers training to internal and external entities
+ Develops and maintains a high degree of rapport and cooperation with the Federal, State and local law enforcement and regulatory agencies which can assist ininvestigative efforts
+ Represents the Company in court proceedings regarding research findings
+ Provides guidance to investigators and other SIU staff in the development of criminal and recovery cases
+ Leads SIU projects or initiatives
**Required Qualifications:**
+ Requires a BA/BS and minimum of 8 years related experience in healthcare insurance and healthcare insurance investigation; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ PharmD or CPhT strongly preferred
+ Knowledge and experience working with Pharmacy Benefit Managers and Pharmacy programs strongly preferred
+ Professional certification of CFE, AHFI, CPC, Paralegal, RN, JD or other job related designation preferred
