We typically use Deltek Acumen for schedule and cost analyses. - Experience using industry estimating software, such as Timberline and HCSS Heavy Bid. - Understanding of project scheduling; ability to use Primavera P6 and / or Smartsheet. * Experience mentoring junior staff. * Able to travel to meet project needs. * Travel is expected to be variable based on project needs, but generally infrequent. As a Walkdown/Turnover Lead, you'll be responsible for managing a diverse team, coordinating and facilitating the field verification and documentation of systems installed by Construction. This will be achieved through leadership of walkdown activities on an active construction site, guiding construction, subcontractor, and client personnel through the scope of multi-discipline systems. Additionally, you will be responsible for active collaboration with field Quality and sub-contractors, ensuring adherence to testing and documentation requirements, and confirming the completion of pre-commissioning activities such as megger and continuity, testing and balancing, chemical cleaning and flushing, and pressure testing. In this role, you will be challenged to provide impeccable service to our clients through quality delivery of client work and will work with the established siting team, project managers, client account managers, and senior technical resources to contribute to the growth of our utility client portfolio. You will provide technical leadership and play an important role in developing the skills and expertise of our delivery teams. You will have the opportunity to direct the day-to-day delivery of the siting team and establish processes and procedures for continued success. We are seeking a professional with siting experience in OK, TX, CO, NM, MN, IN, IL, OH, MI, MO, VA, NC, SC, GA, and/or FL. Two days per week in a Jacobs office, on site visits, or meeting with clients is expected. * BA/BS degree in planning, environmental science, biology, ecology, or civil engineering * A minimum of ten years of siting and route analysis experience on electric or gas transmission siting projects in the Eastern or Central US * Experience authoring siting documentation and performing consulting-related technical tasks supporting the development and siting of energy projects * Experience performing and managing staff and/or subcontractors for development of transmission line projects * Knowledge of at least one (or more) of the following: Ohio Power Siting Board, North Carolina Public Utilities Commission, Illinois Commerce Commission, Kentucky Public Service Commission, Oklahoma Corporation Commission, Public Utility Commission of Texas, or Virginia State Corporation Commission application processes for electric transmission lines * Knowledge of state-level regulatory requirements and experience with permit filings * Existing relationships with siting specialists in utility client organizations.
