Job Summary
Summary: Floor Technician is responsible for floor maintenance, restoration, and the operation of industrial floor care equipment.
Essential Functions:
Maintains knowledge of principles of hard-surface floor maintenance and use proper procedures on hard floor care including stripping and refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing
Operate various types of industrial floor care equipment
Utilize automated equipment for cleaning of large area of floor surface
Use the proper procedures on carpet and upholstering including shampooing, damp surface, extractions, spot cleaning, vacuuming, etc.
Perform maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types
Other duties as assigned by manager
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a floor care technician or in related role preferred
Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques required
Knowledge and ability to follow safety procedures
Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 50 lbs.

An HES custodian plays an essential role in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of school facilities, ensuring every school day runs smoothly and students can focus on learning. In addition to regular building maintenance functions, the school custodian provides direct support to classroom teachers in set up and maintenance of furniture and equipment.
General Cleaner/Custodian:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Sweep, mop, vacuum, scrub, and wax floors.
* Machine shampoo carpeting.
* Clean walls, vents, screens, furniture, drinking fountains, light fixtures, window blinds, brass, and other interior fixtures
* Wash interior and exterior windows and glass doors.
* Sweep entryways, empty exterior cigarette urns, and empty trashcans immediately outside building entrances.
* Clean restrooms, plunger sinks and toilets, and replenish supplies.
* Change interior light bulbs that can be reached from the sixth step of a ladder or lower.
* Complete work requests to notify management of needed repair work.
* Remove snow and ice and apply salt and/or ice melting products to assigned areas when needed.
* Organize and supply custodial closets as needed.
* Move, remove, and/or set up furniture, furnishings, supplies, equipment, and any other items, inside specified rooms for special functions as directed.
* Additional job-related duties as required by the supervisor

Job Summary
Were looking to hire a hard-working janitor who can maintain the cleanliness and safety of our building. Youll be responsible for all cleaning duties including vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing restrooms with soapy water, and shampooing carpets, in addition to maintenance tasks such as emptying trash. The ideal candidate has a great work ethic, experience with cleaning equipment and supplies, and takes pride in a job well done.
Responsibilities
Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the building
Vacuum carpets, mop floors, scrub restrooms, dust furniture, and empty trash cans daily
Clean windows, shampoo carpets, and supply restrooms
Wipe up spills and other hazards with sponges and squeegees
Secure building by locking doors once cleaning is complete
Write reports of areas cleaned and notify the manager of major repairs
Qualifications
Educational requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent
At least 1 years of experience in janitorial services
Drivers license or reliable transportation to and from the worksite
Experience with a variety of cleaning supplies and cleaning equipment
Good stamina and physical health
Must be a hard-worker with high attention to detail and have a strong work ethic
