Overview:
The School of Agricultural Sciences at Sam Houston State University is seeking six undergraduate student interns to participate in the USDA Research and Extension Experiences for Undergraduates (REEU) program. As a REEU intern, you will have the opportunity to gain research and extension experience, preparing you for a career in agricultural education or graduate studies.
Responsibilities:
* Work as an undergraduate intern from June 2 to July 25, 2025 (8 weeks) on the Huntsville campus of SHSU
* Assist in teaching lessons, collecting surveys, analyzing survey results, and making research reports
* Report to Dr. Danhong Chen, Associate Professor of Agribusiness in the School of Agricultural Sciences
* Work closely with the project director to achieve the program's goals
Qualifications:
* Must be an undergraduate student
* Must be registered for at least 6 hours of coursework during the fall semester of 2025
* Must be available to work on the Huntsville campus of SHSU from June 2 to July 25, 2025
