Campus Security Officer

Overview:


Felician University is seeking a dynamic and self-motivated security professional to safeguard the University's facilities and enforce established security policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:

* Safeguard the University's facilities and enforce established security policies and procedures

* Monitor property and safety, ensuring a secure and welcoming environment for University personnel, students, and visitors

* Respond to emergencies and incidents, providing assistance and support as needed

* Collaborate with University personnel and law enforcement agencies to maintain a safe and secure campus environment

* Complete a University training program for certification in First Aid, CPR, and AED within 90 days of hire

* Maintain accurate records and reports of incidents and activities

Qualifications:

* High school diploma or GED required

* Minimum of one year experience in security, military, or related field monitoring property and safety; prior experience in a college/university setting preferred

* Ability to successfully complete a University training program for certification in First Aid, CPR, and AED within 90 days of hire

* Security Officer Registration Act (SORA) certification

* Willingness and ability to do physical labor, including heavy lifting within manageable and safe parameters

* Physical ability to stand, walk, stoop, climb, bend, etc. * Valid New Jersey Driver's License

* Proven ability to work with a diverse population

* Graduation from an accredited police academy and certification by the Police Training Commission of New Jersey preferred
