Job DescriptionDescription:
CBS58 is looking for an experienced Political/State Capitol Reporter to cover local and national politics. In this role, you will generate compelling, innovative and timely stories, create and maintain a network of contacts, validate and determine the credibility of news leads, and write and produce quality news stories for multiple media platforms.
Successful candidates must be able to give strong live reports, excel in breaking news assignments, and generate work that is fair, balanced and accurate. Must live in or be able to relocate to Madison, WI and have experience covering local and state government news, have a clear understanding of various laws and be fluent in the use of government records and the state and federal open records acts.

Daily Tasks of a Multimedia Journalist:

Participate in upholding newsroom best practices and policies
Work with the News Director to ensure high-quality delivery of WTMJ's on-air and digital assets

Preferred knowledge, skills, and qualifications:
