ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties as assigned.
* Installs power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment.
* Connects power supply wires to machines and equipment and connects cables and wires between machines and equipment.
* Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables.
* Tests, discusses, and diagnoses malfunctioning machinery. Must be able to utilize computer systems to solve malfunctions.
* Replaces faulty electrical components of machine such as relays, switches, motors, and positions sensing devices.
* Diagnoses and repairs or replaces faulty electronic components, such as printed circuit boards.
* Troubleshoots and performs some programming for Programmable Controller Machines, Allen Bradley Controllers and MEDC Controllers.
* Plans layout of wiring and installs wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in all areas of the plant.
Senior Electrician & Maintenance
Education and/or Experience:
* Must have a Journeyman card or Master Electrician License and/or five years of experience. On the job training is also required. Forklift training and licensing is required for this position. Forklift training and licensing is required for this position.
Language Skills:
* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read blueprints and diagrams and on the job training are required.

Principal Accountabilities
Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues independently
Apply strong problem-solving and programming troubleshooting skills, preferably with Allen-Bradley
Ensure reliability of manufacturing processes and compliance with standards

Installation includes conduit, control panels, machine tools, generators, transformers, motors, battery chargers, fire watch cables and control panels. (This does not include proprietary systems or equipment)
General facility electrical maintenance includes testing and repair of lighting and power circuits, cranes and hoists, limit and proximity switches, outside lighting, gate barriers, bear claws and LAN cables.
General machine electrical maintenance of production equipment as well as welders, heating, electro-magnetic, lathes, mills, grinders, CNC machining centers, gantries and battery chargers. (This does not include UPS or power back up for Information Technology systems)
Fabrication of brackets, supports and hangers associated with electrical equipment or system installation.

Recovery movement and adjustment associated with gantry failures and cat tracks.
