The Senior Electrician supports both foundry and machining operations by performing advanced maintenance and repair of electrical, PLC, robotic, CNC, and automation systems. This role emphasizes safe practices, expert troubleshooting, and independent execution of complex technical tasks. The Senior Electrician is expected to apply strong technical knowledge, mentor junior staff, and contribute to efficient and reliable plant operations. The person in this position rarely works nights except during emergencies. There is no shift work associated with this position. 5% of the work for this position is done indoors; 95% is outdoors and requires work done in all types of weather conditions. The stress level associated with this position is moderately low to moderately high, depending upon the workload and various deadlines. Temp RampUp is currently seeking skilled and qualified I&E Crossover Industrial Electricians for long term / permanent work in Illinois. This is a great opportunity for steady work with an established electrical contractor who provides year round maintenance to two (2) large industrial plants. This job required permanent residency in Decatur, IL or surrounding area (within 40 miles) You must have experience with both installation and troubleshooting for consideration. Ideal candidates would have boiler and emissions experience, ability to navigate around Allen-Bradley PLC platforms, knowledge of various valves, packaging line experience, plus system mechanical knowledge. Pneumatic knowledge would be a plus. In addition, experience with medium voltage, motors/motor controls, power and instrumentation, installation, and troubleshooting. Pay: Based on Experience Per Diem: 80.00/ day x 7 days - 4 weeks of per diem max Relocation Bonus: 1500.00.
