Description: The Maintenance Assistant provides support and assistance for General Services functions. This includes but is not limited to coordinating and/or performing minimal repairs and maintenance for KBC facilities, equipment, and vehicles, as well as fulfilling courier responsibilities for the Logistics department. The position reports to the Facilities and Fleet Manager.
Essential Job Functions:
Assists with general facility and vehicle upkeep.
Ensures facility appearance and cleanliness by doing walk-thru inspections, collecting and removing garbage, and completing building improvement tasks (painting, minor carpentry, part replacement, etc.),
Assists and/or performs minimal equipment repairs, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, heating, and cooling maintenance throughout the building and grounds at all locations under the guidance of more senior team members.
Utilizes ticketing system and keeps accurate maintenance records.
Coordinates and/or performs professional vehicle cleaning and handles facility janitorial duties.
Monitors recycling and biohazardous waste containers and transfers and/or disposes of product as needed.
Interacts professionally with vendor representatives to escort individuals onsite and to support the completion of work performed by external parties.
Drives non-CDL vehicles to scheduled service appointments and fulfills a variety of errands for General Services departments.
Routinely travels to KBC locations to perform inspections and maintenance activities.
Performs role of Courier for Logistics department, as needed (SOP-30-87-092) which includes operating vehicles to make deliveries and pick-ups for and among KBC's locations, mobile blood drives, and hospital customers.
Fulfills other duties and participates in special projects as assigned.

Frequently lift/carry up to 50 pounds without assistance.

The Regional Director of Flight Operations will be responsible for the Float Pilots' schedule. The Float Pilot ensures all operations involving Company aircraft are in compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations, Air Evac EMS Operations Manual, and all state and municipal regulations. Report to his/her shift rested and prepared for duty and stays current of weather and forecast changes. Ensure the aircraft remains clean and transport ready and all appropriate paperwork is submitted in a neat and timely manner.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES
Aircraft operation
* Operates the aircraft in a safe and efficient manner, with emphasis on compliance with the Rotorcraft Flight Manual
* Monitors forecast changes and current weather situations
* Conducts preflight of the aircraft prior to starting shift and/or accepting any transports or flights. Preflight will be conducted utilizing the appropriate rotorcraft flight manual.
