Summary/objective: KMS Solutions is seeking an experienced analyst to provide acquisition support to the Undersea Special Mission Systems program office (PMS 390) located at the Washington Navy Yard in Washington, DC. PMS 390's mission includes: Assessment/Underwater Work System (AUWS), Submarine Rescue System-Rescue Capable System (SRS-RCS), and the Submarine Rescue System-Submarine Decompression System (SRS-SDS). They are also responsible for the coordination of R&D initiatives, acquisition, test and evaluation, in-service support, and recommends certification of Dry Deck Shelter (DDS) and Special Operations Forces (SOF) Host Submarine (HOSUB) Systems. This includes responsibility for future SOF Undersea Mobility Systems and technical support for all matters pertaining to SOF Undersea Mobility; and other projects as directed. This position specifically supports the Next Generation Submarine Rescue System within the Business and Financial Branch. Placement level and salary are dependent on experience and education. Provide recommendation for potential U.S./UK common design changes. Leverage common systems and parts to address obsolescence, supplier-based responsiveness and fleet maintenance trends. Support the Obsolescence Team in development and execution of the Obsolescence Strategy for both the US and UK programs. Assist with resolution of UK Technical Queries interfacing with various organizations for ultimate resolution. Participate in the Engineering Face to Face Working Group. Collaborate with SUBMEPP to ensure accurate updates to maintenance documentation, stay informed about Availability Work Package (AWP), and engage with technical study assessments as needed to support UK requests for component maintenance extensions. Support SWS Weeks in Kings Bay, GA or Bangor, WA, and UK as needed. Coordinate and facilitate key stakeholder engagements with the Technical Branch. Coordinate across technical stakeholders including SEA05 and NSWC Corona to identify and implement changes to the Planned Maintenance Management Program (PMMP) for mitigating obsolescence issues. Required education and experience: Bachelor's degree in any engineering discipline. 3+ years of experience in engineering. Preferred education and experience: NAVSEA experience is preferred.
