Job Overview
LaBella is looking for an individual who wants to advance both personally and professionally while finding solutions for complex projects.
Our Civil Division, which includes civil engineering and landscape architecture disciplines, is looking for a creative individual who has experience in collaborating on large athletic facility projects across the country. These types of projects include natural grass and synthetic turf fields, parks, music venues, stadiums, and mixed-use developments starting with master planning and continuing through final construction close out. Working in a fast-paced environment and creating relationships, both with our internal teams as well as with our client partners, are key functions of daily responsibilities. An understanding of the design, construction and permitting process is required. Experience with athletic facilities is highly desired, as an outside-of-the-box thinker will thrive in this role. Civil Engineering or Landscape Architecture background preferred while management of projects, budgets, and people should be highlighted in the application. Submission of a project portfolio is highly encouraged.
Duties:
Managing multi-disciplinary site projects in a collaborative manner to produce effective and high-quality design plans.
Steering projects from schematic design to closeout.
Assist in permit-level site plans.
Understanding of approval processes.
Creatively collaborating with architects on project delivery.
Requirements
Minimum requirements include a BS in Civil Engineering or BLA for Landscape Architecture. A state license is not a requirement, but pursuit of one is encouraged.
10+ years of experience
Experience with AutoCAD/Civil 3D is essential.
Ideal candidates will have experience of designing and working on complex multi-disciplinary jobs. Design in athletics is preferred.
Strong communication skills are highly desired.

Qualifications and Certification:

Your Key Responsibilities

Key performance indicators will include metrics specific to the Regional Sector Plan, as well as those applicable to all leaders.
* Engagement in Top 20 Regional strategic pursuit opportunities

Analyze environmental data and prepare technical reports, charts, and presentations.
Support regulatory compliance efforts including permit applications, reporting, and documentation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on sustainability and waste reduction initiatives.
Perform GIS mapping and spatial analysis related to waste infrastructure and service areas.
Participate in stakeholder meetings and contribute to project planning and development.
Requirements
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Completion of at least sophomore year by the start of the internship.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with GIS, AutoCAD, or data analysis tools is a plus.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Interest in environmental sustainability and public infrastructure.
Schedule:
• Part-time: 20-30 hours per week during Fall and Spring semesters.
