Hanford Tank Waste Operations & Closure (H2C) is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician (QAT). This individual will Perform Quality Assurance (QA) inspections and tests (Requiring certification in: Basic, Electrical, Mechanical, Instrumentation, Welding, VT-2 Examination, VT-3 Examination, Receiving, Positive Material Identification(PMI), National Association of Corrosion Engineers(NACE) or Association of Materials Protection and Performance(AMPP) Level Two (2), Certified Welding Inspector (CWI), or American Concrete Institute (ACI) Post Installed Concrete Anchor Installation Inspector) to verify conformance with specified requirements for the purpose of determining acceptability. Assure compliance to Company and Quality Assurance policies and procedures, as well as any other applicable standards and codes. Keep associated records. As assigned by management, carry out surveillances, special studies, data gathering efforts and assist in training and communications.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent. Experience performing quality- related inspection activities working in an industrial or nuclear field. Current or prior inspection or testing experience performing visual inspections, dimensional inspections, NDE inspection or other inspection methods.

In accordance with the current Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), the salary offered for this position will be reflective of the assigned job classification and associated wage scale. Actual placement on the wage scale will be based on a candidate's education, training and/or experience. A step rate increase will be implemented every six months (as applicable) until the top rate of the wage scale is reached.

Perform technical duties related to the production of histopathological slides of surgical specimens

These procedures are primarily focused on diagnosing and treating heart conditions, including coronary artery disease, arrhythmias, and structural heart problems. Cath Lab Technicians are responsible for preparing and maintaining equipment, assisting with catheter-based procedures, and ensuring patient safety during these complex procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Pre-Procedure Preparation:
Prepare the cath lab environment for procedures by ensuring all necessary equipment and tools are sterile, functional, and properly set up (e.g., catheters, guidewires, contrast agents, X-ray machines).

Following established policies and procedures, this position encompasses the inspecting, testing and evaluating of finished goods at different stages of the production process to determine and maintain quality and consistency of products.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Other duties may be assigned. All of the following are to be performed while adhering to Tree Top operational policies, safety rules, procedures and good manufacturing practices.
Selects products for testing at specified stages in the production process and at predetermined intervals.
Tests products for quality characteristics utilizing various pieces of laboratory equipment, following proscribed Tree Top methods and using proper laboratory technique.
Calibrates laboratory equipment to ensure accurate results.
Calculates and records test data completely, concisely, accurately and legibly on paper are well as the computer.
Evaluates data and communicates information to Supervisor to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.
Responsible for addressing potential food safety and quality issues of the product.
Informs Supervisor on a timely basis all operational problems encountered and what action was taken to resolve the problems with recommendations to prevent reoccurrences. This includes the documentation of operation trouble spots to corrective action.
Conducts oneself in a professional manner, working safely, taking precautions in preventing product and/or equipment damages and losses, cooperating with co-workers and maintaining good housekeeping practices at all times.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily as well as to pass the lab test. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
